    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht Es wird ein neuartiges Modell für eine Doppelkreis-Hochspannungs-Drehstrom-Übertragung (DHDUE) aufgestellt und eine geeignete Methode zur digitalen Integration entwickelt. Dieses Modell ist gekennzeichnet durch die verteilten Parameter der DHDUE. Zur Durchführung einer Phase-Modal-Transformation wird eine neue Ähnlichkeitstransformation eingeführt. Das Modell und die Integrationsmethode werden verwendet zur digitalen Simulation der elektromagnetischen Ausgleichsvorgänge, die auftreten bei der Aufschaltung der unbelasteten DHDUE, und zur Simulation der zweiseitigen Quellen. Einzelheiten werden mittels eines numerischen Beispiels erläutert. Die Ergebnisse lassen erkennen, daß das eingeführte Modell geeignet ist für die digitale Echtzeit-Simulation der DHDUE.
    Notes: Contents A new model of a double-circuit high-voltage three-phase power transmission line (DHTT) is presented, and an adequate digital integration method is developed. This model is characterized by the distributed parameters of the DHTT. For performing a phase-modal transformation a new similarity transformation is introduced. The model and the integration method are used for digital simulation of the electromagnetic transients caused in activating the unloaded DHTT and for the simulation of the automatic synchronization of the DHTT as well as of the parallel operation of the DHTT with sources on both sides. Details are demonstrated with the aid of a numerical example. The results show that the model presented is suited for digital real-time simulation of the DHTT.

    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht Es werden neuartige Modelle für einphasige Kurzschlüsse gegen Erde einer Doppelkreis-Hochspannungs-Drehstrom-Übertragungsstrecke (DHDUE) aufgestellt und geeignete Methoden zur digitalen Integration sowie relevante Rechenschemata entwickelt. Die Simulation der elektromagnetischen Ausgleichsvorgänge bei einphasigen Kurzschlüssen gegen Erde an der DHDUE zeigt, daß die Modelle einschließlich ihrer Integrationsmethoden und Rechenschritte zur Echtzeitsimulation von Fehlern auf Parallelprozessorsystemen geeignet sind.
    Notes: Contents New models are presented for one-phase earth short circuits of a double-circuit high-voltage three-phase power transmission line (DHTT) and appropriate integration methods as well as the relevant computation scheme are described. Simulation of the electromagnetic transients of the one-phase earth short circuit of the DHTT shows that using parallel processing, the models including their integration methods and computation steps are suited for real-time simulation of faults.

    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht Bei der digitalen Simulation von Starkstrom-Übertragungssystemen in Echtzeit ist die parallele Datenverarbeitung weit verbreitet. In diesem Beitrag wird ein neues Modell vorgestellt, in welchem das System in mehrere Module aufgespaltet wird, deren Verhalten dann parallel in Echtzeit simuliert werden kann. Eine dazu geeignete Integrationsmethode wird angegeben, mit deren Hilfe die elektromagnetischen und elektromechanischen Ausgleichsvorgänge berechnet werden, die bei der Aufschaltung einer Synchronmaschine auf eine unbelastete Doppelkreis-Hochspannungs-Drehstromübertragungsstrecke (DHTT) auftreten. Außerdem werden die Ausgleichsvorgänge ermittelt, die bei der automatischen. Synchronisation einer am anderen Ende zugeschalteten Synchronmaschine auftreten, und schließlich der Zustand untersucht, wenn beide Enden der DHTT parallel von Synchronmaschinen gespeist werden. Dieses numerische Beispiel zeigt, daß das vorliegende Modell für eine digitale Simulation des Starkstrom systems in Echtzeit geeignet ist.

This paper presents a new model using multiple modules and its integration method. According to this model and the given digital integration method a digital example simulation is carried out covering the following operating phases: electromagnetic and electromechanical transients after connecting a synchronous machine to the idle double-circuit high-voltage three-phase power transmission line (DHTT), automatic synchronization of the synchronous machine at the far end of the DHTT, parallel operation of the power transmission system (a DHTT with synchronous machines at both ends). The results show that the new model is fit for real-time digital simulation of this system.

Die nach den Simulationsmodellen entwickelte Software kann auf einem PC Pentium III 500 MHz in Echtzeit laufen. Die numerischen Ergebnisse zeigen, daß die Modelle für eine digitale Echtzeitsimulation geeignet sind.
    Notes: Contents  A model of a typical current supply system in the fault operation state of the module DHTT is established by applying the multiple module coupling method (Feng Z, Liao X, Unbehauen R (1998) Electrical Engineering 81: 121–127). The software developed according to the simulation models can run on a PC Pentium III 500 MHz in real-time. The numerical results show that the models are fit for digital real-time simulation.

    Description / Table of Contents: Übersicht In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ein aus mehreren Modulen aufgebautes mathematisches Modell zur Echtzeitsimulation eines Hochspannungs-Übertragungssystems in Ringstruktur auf kurze Distanz vorgestellt. Das System wurde unter verschiedenen Betriebszuständen simuliert, einschließlich der regulären Betriebsart, verschiedenen Fehlertypen an unterschiedlichen Orten und nach Auslösung von Schaltern im Fehlerfall. Die mit Hilfe eines Pentium II 333 erzielten Ergebnisse zeigen, daß das vorgeschlagene Modell und die vorgestellte Integrationsmethode korrekt und in Echtzeit realisierbar sind.
    Notes: Contents In this paper a multiple modular mathematical model of a high-voltage short ring power transmission system fit for digital real-time simulation is presented. Various states on this system have been simulated including regular operation states, different types of faults at different distances and operation of switches under faults. The results running on a Pentium II 333 show that the presented model and the given digital integration method are correct and can be realized in real-time.

    Notes: Localized heating was imposed on a 6061-T6 aluminum alloy plate to cause thermal strains,and simultaneously interplanar spacing changes were measured using in-situ time-resolved neutrondiffraction techniques.     Notes: Residual strain profiles in friction-stir processed (FSP) AZ31B magnesium-alloy plates weremeasured using neutron diffraction. Two different specimens were prepared to investigate theinfluences of the tool shoulder and the tool pin on the residual-strain profiles: (Case 1) a plateprocessed with both the stirring pin and tool shoulder, i.e., a regular FSP plate subjected to both theplastic deformation and frictional heating, and (Case 2) a plate processed only with the toolshoulder, i.e., subjected mainly to the frictional heating. The results show that the strain profiles ofboth cases are qualitatively quite similar. The longitudinal strain is mainly tensile with itsmaximum near the bead of the FSP plate. On the other hand, the transverse and normal strains aremildly compressive in both Cases 1 and 2

    Notes: The one-wavelength anomalous scattering (OAS) X-ray diffraction data of azurin II, a copper-containing protein from Alcaligenes xylosoxidans were collected at the Photon Factory, Japan at a `routine' wavelength of 0.97 Å. The structure had been originally solved by the molecular-replacement method [Dodd, Hasnain, Abraham, Eady & Smith (1995). Acta Cryst. D51, 1052–1064]. As a technique of ab initio structure determination, the direct method [Fan, Hao, Gu, Qian, Zheng & Ke (1990). Acta Cryst. A46, 935–939] was attempted to break the phase ambiguity intrinsic to OAS data. The phases were then improved using the solvent-flattening method. The final electron-density map clearly shows most Cα positions and many side chains and it is traceable without prior knowledge of the structure. It is concluded that the direct method is capable of phasing anomalous scattering data collected at one wavelength from moderate-sized native proteins (Mw ∼ 20 kDa) which contain copper or atoms with a similar scattering power.
