Notes: Abstract Aberrant internal carotid arteries presenting as pharyngeal masses are described in the literature. Eight patients were evaluated by CT, angiography or MRI. Our studies indicated that the phyaryngeal pseudo masses were due to aberrant carotid vessels. Unlike the previous reports, in tour of our eight cases both common and internal carotid arteries were the cause of the suspected mass. Contrast-enhanced CT studies consistently demonstrated the abnormalities. MRI may be done if patients have a contraindication to intravenous iodinated contrast administration.

Notes: Summary Fifty cases of intracranial and cranial chondrosarcoma were reviewed in the world literature including two of our own. These were analyzed relevant to their histological subgroup, site of origin, age and sex incidence, calcification and vascularity, recurrence, and metastases. The analysis was done in order to clarify points in the diagnosis, management, and prognosis of this rare tumour. The mesenchymal subtype is a more malignant form with a higher tendency for recurrence, metastasis, and increased vascularity.

Notes: Abstract. Radiation therapy is commonly applied as a primary or adjuvant therapy for malignancies. One of the major complications following radiation therapy is the necrosis of the otherwise normal surrounding soft tissues and/or bone. Post-radiation myelopathy rarely occurs when the spinal cord is included within the radiation field, in cases of high total radiation doses or for high radiation doses per fractionation. Up until the present, no tolerance dose for the spinal cord has accurately been defined and no treatment has proved satisfactory. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is already currently used as adjuvant treatment for osteoradionecrosis and for radionecrosis of soft tissues with satisfactory results, whereas results for the treatment of post-attinic myelitis were contradictory. The aim of our report is to describe a case of radiation myelitis with a progressive improvement in the clinico-radiologic picture following hyperbaric oxygen treatment.

Notes: Summary Five patients with differing forms and severity of cranial aspergillosis illustrate the range of neuroradiologic manifestations as evaluated with angiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Together with the physical findings, these subjects illustrate the dire clinical situation requiring immediate recognition in order to attempt to controll this devastating, treatment resistant pathologic fungal infection.

Notes: Summary A technique is described whereby large volume columnar myelography is accomplished utilizing diluted aqueous intrathecal contrast media. The problems of maneuvering the radiopaque contrast around scoliotic curves are easily overcome thereby facilitating an otherwise difficult examination.

Notes: Summary As an initial route of the spread of inflammatory and neoplastic pathology, the complex lymphatic system of the cervical region assumes an important part of the examination in patients with extra-axial disease of the head and neck. In addition, the often overlooked cranio-facila lymphatics must also be routinely investigated in order to forward the understanding and sensitivity of the neuroradiologic evaluation of primary sites of disease propagation from these areas.

Notes: Summary The technique of intravenous dynamic cranial computed tomography has been applied to the patient population at this location in Saudi Arabia with meningeal tuberculosis. The various manifestations and sequelae including meningitis, arteritis, infarct, and true meningeal tuberculomata all have characteristic if not specific appearances. The dynamic study enhances an, otherwise static examination and reveals a great deal about the pathophysiology of tuberculosis involving the cerebral meningeal surfaces.
