Summary This work is preliminarily concerned with the nervous forms of arborisation in the skin after impregnation according to Bodian and Ziesmer. In this connection, the reasons for refusing a specific nature of the peripheral nerves in the traditional sense is shown in a brief survey. The main part is concerned with comparative histological investigations of excision material in itching skin diseases (Lichen ruber planus, Lichen chronicus Vidal, Prurigo nodularis) before and after treatment with resochin. Proliferative and regressive forms are compared with one another in the particular diseases and stages, respectively. The appearance of corpuscular elements and intraepithelial bundles of fibrils in skin areas, which, in healthy persons, are free from the mentioned formations, is considered as an answer to kind and degree of the itching.
Abstract:
Résumé Ce rapport s'occupe, d'abord, des formes de l'arborisation nerveuse dans la peau après l'imprégnation de Bodian et Ziesmer. On montre, les raisons pour le refus d'une nature spécifique des nerfs périphériques dans le sens traditionnel. La partie principale s'occupe de recherches histologiques comparatives d'un matériel d'excision chez des maladies avec prurit de la peau (Lichen ruber planus, Lichen chronicus Vidal, Prurigo nodulaire) avant et après traitement avec de la résochine. Des formes prolifératives et régressives sont comparées les unes aux autres dans les maladies en question et leur degrés. L'apparition d'éléments corpusculaires et de faisceaux de fibrilles intraépithéliaux dans des parties cutanées qui, chez une personne saine, sont privées des formations ci-dessus nommées est considérée comme une réponse à la manière et au degré du prurit.

Zusammenfassung Die Arbeit befaßt sich einleitend mit der Art der nervösen Ausbreitung in der Haut nach Bodian-Ziesmer-Imprägnation. Hierbei werden die Gründe für die Ablehnung einer Spezifität der peripheren Nerven in einer kurzen Übersicht aufgezeigt. Der Hauptteil befaßt sich mit vergleichenden histologischen Untersuchungen an Exzisionsmaterial bei juckenden Hautkrankheiten (Lichen ruber planus, Lichen chronicus Vidal, Prurigo nodularis) vor und nach Resochin-Behandlung. Proliferative und regressive Veränderungen werden bei den einzelnen Krankheiten bzw. Stadien gegenübergestellt. Das Auftreten korpuskulärer Elemente und intraepithelialer Fibrillenbündel in Hautbezirken, die beim Gesunden der genannten Gebilde entbehren, wird als Antwort auf Art und Grad des Juckreizes angesehen.
