Résumé A l'aide de la documentation rétrospective il a été essayé d'obtenir des valeurs de comparaison pour la trabéculotomie, un nouveau procédé chirurgical antiglaucomateux qui est à présent mis à l'épreuve. Des bulletins de santé de 1953 à 1967 comprenant 438 trépanations suivant Elliot et 522 opérations d'iridencléisis suivant Holth ont été évalués. Toutefois, malgré les chiffres de départ considérables, les notes, particulièrement en ce qui concerne le nombre et l'étendue des examens ultérieurs, ne fournissent pas de valeurs de comparaison satisfaisantes. Des examens ultérieurs strictement conduits pourraient combler plus d'une lacune. Cependant des valeurs de comparaison répondant à toutes les demandes ne pourraient être obtenues que par des études parallèles à être faites dans d'autres cliniques.
Abstract:
Summary By means of retrospective documentation an attempt was made to gather material of comparison for the trabeculotomy, a new method of glaucoma surgery still being tested. Medical records from 1953 to 1967 comprising 438 Elliot trephines and 522 iridencleisis operations according to Holth were available. In spite of the large figures to start with, the records, especially as far as number and extent of follow-up examinations is concerned, were not sufficient to supply the required material of comparison. A strict follow-up might stop many a gap. However, comparable material which would meet all requirements could be obtained only by parallel studies to be carried out at other clinics.

Zusammenfassung Mit Hilfe der retrospektiven Dokumentation wurde versucht, Vergleichsmaterial für eine in der Erprobung befindliche neue Operationsmethode des Glaukoms, die Trabekulotomie, zu gewinnen. Die Krankenblattaufzeichnungen von 1953 bis 1967 über 438 Elliot'sche Trepanationen und 522 Iridenkleisisoperationen nach Holth standen zur Verfügung. Die Aufzeichnungen, insbesondere Zahl und Umfang der Nachuntersuchungen, waren jedoch trotz der großen Ausgangszahlen für die Gewinnung von Vergleichsmaterial nicht ausreichend. Gezielte Nachuntersuchungen könnten manche Lücken füllen; ein allen Anforderungen genügendes Vergleichsgut wäre jedoch nur durch Paralleluntersuchungen anderer Kliniken zu gewinnen.
