Zusammenfassung Komplikationen infolge intrakardialer, intraarterieller oder intravenöser Punktionen zur intra- und postoperativen Blutdruckmessung sind selten. Bei 200 Herzoperationen der Jahre 1971–1972 wurden in 2 Fällen derartige Komplikationen beobachtet, die in einem Fall eine Reoperation (nach Verschluß eines ASD) bedingte und im zweiten Fall nach Sprengung einer Mitralstenose IV. Grades durch die sekundäre Ruptur der hochgradig skler Pulmonalarterie zur mittelbaren Todesursache wurde.

Summary Complications caused by intracardiac, intra-arterial, and intravenous punctures for intra- and postoperative pressure monitoring are rare. In a series of 200 consecutive heart operations (1971–1972) such complications occurred in two cases. In one patient, reoperation was mandatory after closure of ASD to stop bleeding. The second patient died of secondary rupture of the severely sclerotic pulmonic artery which was punctured after commissurotomy of the mitral valve (grade IV mitral stenosis).
