Notes: Abstract This paper describes the Integrated Finline Front-end Radar Receivers at Ka-Band. The Front-receivers developed for Radar applications include combining of finline components on a single MIC substrate with various planar transmission lines. The integrated systems so developed have better noise figure and control over phase and gain imbalances as compared to discrete component systems. Two types of Integrated Front-ends Radar receivers are described here. The developed systems are highly compact and reliable.

Notes: Abstract The mounting groove of finline circuits is always the area of research for low loss E-Plane components. The normal practice says, the groove depth should be kept λ/4 or λ/2 according to the termination at the top surface for electrical short inside the waveguide. Here we have investigated the effect experimentally at Ka-Band for short ended circuit grooves. It has been found that if the groove depth is kept λ/10, just adequate to hold the card vertical rigidly, considerable improvement has been observed in the Insertion Loss of the line. An improvement of 0.6 dB has been observed with λ/4 to λ/10 groove depth for short ended circuit for Symmetric unilateral finline.

Notes: Abstract This paper describes the Design of Broadside 8-Elements Microstrip Antenna Array at Ka-Band using corporate feed. Array is designed for the Broadband applications for 32 GHz to 36 GHz (4 GHz Bandwidth). The Gain of the Antenna Array is 18 dBi and the 3-dB Beamwidth in E - & H - Plane is 18 degree and 27 degree respectively with minimum sidelobe level of 15 dBc. Antenna test results show a close agreement between the designed and measured values. The Antenna Array has been printed on 10 mil RT-Duriod (εr = 2.22) substrate.

Notes: Abstract This paper describes the design and development of Integrated Finline Trans-receiver at Ka-Band. Integrated trans-receiver has been designed for Simplex Voice Communication System. The trans-receiver includes a modulator, duplexer and a mixer integrated together on a single substrate RT Duroid 5880. Two Millimeter Wave Gunn sources, one as transmit source and the other one as Local Oscillator source, in Waveguide are connected externally. The system has been realised and tested with the integrated trans-receiver unit for ASK voice Communication System for a range of 2.5 KM LOS. The system is highly useful for short-range communication systems such as Hand-held Millimeter Wave Radio.

Notes: Abstract Fungus were found to take important role in ear infections of the 344 patients (CSOM 286, Otomycosis 44, Otitis externa 14), significant fungal infections (with positive smear and culture) were detected on 49%, 79.5%, 66.6% patients respectively. 84.8% patients were detected both by smear and culture, 14.1% patients by culture and 0.1% patients in smear preparation only. In CSOM patients, age predominated in 20–27 yrs group, sex in male below 30 yrs, and Aspergillus flavus, A. niger, Penicillium, A. fumigatus in mycelial fungus, Candida albicans, C. parapsillosis in yeast. But in 18 post antibiotic fungus infected patients Penicillium and A. niger were the important isolates. In otomycosis and otitis externa patients A. niger took the main role.
