Notes: Abstract  Nanocomposites based upon framework zirconium phosphates with supported WO3, MoO3 and Pt nanoparticles were synthesized via the incipient wetness impregnation of high-surface-area mesoporous phosphate samples with water solutions of corresponding salts followed by drying and calcination. The structure and surface properties of nanocomposites were studied by using combination of structural and spectral methods. Due to a strong interaction between supports and supported species, the structure of the latter differs considerably from that of the bulk phases. Surface acid centers typical for zirconium phosphates disappear suggesting their participation in bonding nanoparticles of promoters. Instead, new types of strong acid sites associated with tungsten oxide clusters emerge. The effect of these promoters on performance of zirconium phosphates in the reaction of pentane and hexane isomerization is considered.

Notes: Abstract The role of active component distribution among the pores of different size in supported catalysts has been examined. The influence of “microdistribution” on catalyst pellet activity and stability were studied. It was shown that the “microdistribution” parameter does not affect the pellet effectiveness factor in the case of gas-phase reactions. High catalyst stability can be achieved when the fraction of “micropores” does not exceed 30–40%, otherwise the deactivation rate constants in small and large pores differ less than 5 times.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The activity of metallic (Pto) and electron-deficient (Ptσ) platinum in Pt/Al2O3 catalysts has been studied in the low temperature hydrogenation of benzene. Reaction kinetics has been clarified. It is shown that water preadsorption does not affect the character of kinetic curves, but enhances the reaction rate due to an increase in the specific activity of Ptσ.

Notes: Abstract Capillary condensation was found to accompany gasphase catalytic reactions, in particular motor fuel hydrotreatment. Reaction conditions appear to differ significantly in large pores (filled with gas) and small ones (filled with liquid). Regarding capillary condensation we explain the “strange” dependences observed in this study or described in the literature. We have simulated jet fuel dearomatization taking into account capillary condensation as well.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract The activity of Pt/Al2O3 catalysts with various contents of metallic (Pto) and electron-deficient (Ptσ) platinum has been examined in dehydrocyclization of n-heptane and dehydrogenation of cyclohexane. In the former case it is proportional to the number of surface Ptσ atoms and in the latter case it is proportional to the BET surface of metallic platinum Pto.

Notes: Abstract Proposed is a general form of the kinetic description of catalytic reaction with deactivation. This description takes into account mechanisms of both main and deactivation reactions. Heptane reforming accompanied by catalyst coking is considered as an example.

Notes: Abstract The influence of capillary condensation of reagents on the catalytic reaction kinetics and dynamics was studied. The hydrogenation ofp-xylene over Pt/SiO2 was used as a model reaction. Two types of SiO2 were used (KCK-1 with large pores and KCM-5 with small pores). It was shown that capillary condensation could modify the kinetics and the transition regimes. The proposed mathematical model demonstrates good agreement with experimental results for both steady-state and dynamic regimes, including reaction rate—temperature hysteresis.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Изучены катализаторы с неравномерным распределением активного компонента (Pt) по эерну носителя (Al2O3). Показано, что неравномерное распределение активности приводит не только к изменению наблюдаемой скоростн на зерне, но и кинетический законометхостей самой реакции.
Notes: Abstract Catalysts with nonuniform distribution of the catalytically active component (Pt) over their porous support (Al2O3) have been studied. A nonuniform activity distribution changes not only the reaction rate but also the kinetics can be different on these catalysts.

Description / Table of Contents: Abstract
Notes: Abstract To check coke formation on metallic (Pto) and acidic (Al3+) centers of Pt/Al2O3 and Pt−Sn/Al2O3 catalysts, the application of IR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO for detecting Pto−CO (2070 cm−1) and Al3+−CO (2190 cm−1) bonds has been substantiated. Decrease in the number of active Pto and Al3+ centers is shown to correlate with that in the dehydrogenation rate of cyclohexane and in the isomerization rate of heptane, respectively.
