    Notizen: The stability of 15 doubly doped germanium resistance thermometers, manufactured in China and designed for use in magnetic fields, has been studied under zero magnetic field conditions while the thermometers were subjected to thermal cycling between 15 K and room temperature and between 85 K and room temperature. Resistance measurements were made on each thermometer at 15 and 20 K on the 15 K cycles and at 85 K on the 85 K cycles. The stability of the thermometers at 20 K was found to range from 1 to 300 mK. Major differences in behavior between thermometers made from n- and p-type doped germanium were observed; many of the n-type thermometers showed good stability while there were significant resistance changes for all of the p-type thermometers.

    Notizen: The combustion process of Mg-TiO2 system was preliminarily investigated from threeaspects of thermodynamics, reaction kinetics and the technological parameters. The result indicatesthat the adiabatic temperature of Mg-TiO2 system is between 2060K and 2140K because the majorexistent modalities of TiO2 is the rutile and anatase, this meets the empirical criterion that the SHSreaction will be self-sustaining; The solid-solid reaction occurs at about 767K; Ti powders can beproduced only when the ratio between Mg and TiO2 arrives at 2.9:1; The higher the vacuum, themore complete the reaction; The combustion temperature arrives at its peak when the pressure ofgreen compact arrives at 250MPa; the velocity of the combustion wave increases with theaugmentation of the pressure of green compact. So the proper control of the technologicalparameters can change the reaction temperature, reaction rate and the components of reactionproducts

    Notizen: Poly(ethylene glycol methyl ether)-b-poly(ethylenimine hydrochloride) was characterized using potentiometric and viscosimetric titration methods. The average chemical compositions of the polyamine hydrochloride salts estimated by the acid-base titration,1H-NMR, and elemental analysis were compared. The apparent dissociation constant, pK, and the inherent viscosity of the polyamine hydrochloride were found to be highly dependent on the degree of neutralization. Very strong coulombic interactions among the charged sites were observed at low pH's for this polymer.

    Notizen: The hypochromicity of poly(ethylene glycol methyl ether)-b-poly(ethylenimine) containing thymine derivatives as pendants was observed in water, 0.1N HCl and 0.1N NaOH solutions. The hypochromic effect of this compound is between 30% and 40%. Interactions between this polynucleotide analog and poly-A was only found in water but not in 0.1N HCl or 0.1N NaOH solution.

    Notizen: Abstract Sister chromatid exchange rate was studied in 12 early diagnosed cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and in their paired controls. Exchange frequencies were also analyzed in 100 healthy subjects distributed in four regions of Hunan Province and correlated to nationality, age and sex. The incidence of sister chromatid exchange was significantly higher in the cancer patients than in the normal controls. No correlation was found between the frequency of sister chromatid exchange and region, nationality, age or sex.
