Conclusions 1. The liquid adsorption-Chromatographic separation was studied of decylphenol fractions which have different ratios of the 2,6-dialkyl-, 2,4-dialkyl-, 2- and 4-monoalkylphenols on KSM-6P, KSM-5, KSM-4, and ASK silica gels and alumosilicate grains. It was found that the most clearcut separation takes place on ASK silica gel and on the alumosilicate grains. 2. It was demonstrated, by means of IR spectroscopy, that the 2,4-dialkylphenols are adsorbed on the silica gel along with the 2-monoalkylphenols. 3. The optimum conditions which were selected for the liquid adsorption Chromatographic analysis of small amounts of the starting sample for decylphenol fractions and for a broad, semiindustrial alkylphenol fraction, allow the analysis time to be shortened to 8 h in which case the definition of the separation is the same as in the method of two-fold Chromatographic separation. If the analytical problem is limited only to obtaining information about the quantitative concentration of the “active” and “inactive” parts of the alkylphenols, the analysis time can be shortened to 5–6 h.
