Oxidation Products of Thioamides, XXI1). Thiourea S-Trioxides (Guanylsulfonic Acid Betaines)N-mono, N,N-di-, and N,N′-disubstituted thioureas 6, 8, 10 or their S-monoxides 17 and S-dioxides 3 are oxidized to thiourea S-trioxides 7, 9, 11 by peracetic acid. Their thermal stability is considerably higher than that of thiourea S-dioxides; their infrared spectra are similar to those of heteroaromatic sulfonates or their zwitter ions. Different structural conditions favor the stability of thiourea S-monoxides, S-dioxides, and S-trioxides, respectively.

Mit Peressigsäure lassen sich die N-mono-, N.N-di- und N.N′-disubstituierten Thioharnstoffe 6, 8, 10 bzw. deren S-Monoxide 17 und S-Dioxide 3 zu den Thioharnstoff-S-trioxiden 7, 9, 11 oxydieren. Diese sind thermisch stabiler als die Thioharnstoffdioxide; ihre IR-Spektren zeigen Ähnlichkeit mit denen heteroaromatischer Sulfonate oder Sulfonsäurebetaine. Bestimmte strukturelle Voraussetzungen begünstigen die Stabilität von Thioharnstoff-S-mono-, -S-di-oder -S-trioxiden.
