New μ3-Alkylidyne Heterometal Clusters with Ru(CO)3 and Os(CO)3 Building BlocksStarting from the parent compounds (μ3-RC)Co3(CO)9 via the known metal exchange products (μ3-RC)Co2MCp(CO)8 (1a-c, 2a-c) with M = Mo, W new clusters of the types (μ3-RC)RuCoMCp(CO)8H (3a-c, 4a-c) and (μ3-RC)OsCoMCp(CO)8H (5a, 6a) were obtained. They were formed with the metal exchange reagents Na2Ru(CO)4 and Na2Os(CO)4 of which the latter was used for the first time. The metal exchange reactions yielded as by-products the clusters (μ4-η2-MeC≡CMe)Co2M2Cp2(CO)8 with M = Mo, W (7, 8) of which the Mo containing compound 7 was characterized by a crystal structure analysis. Phosphane substitutions on the clusters (μ3-MeC)M1CoM2Cp(CO)8H(M1 = Fe, Ru, Os; M2 = Mo, W) unexpectedly demonstrated that cobalt is completely substitution-inert in these compounds. Thermal CO substitution was possible only for M1 = Ru (→ 9a-d, 10a-d).

Ausgehend von den Grundkörpern (μ3-RC)Co3(CO)9 wurden über ihre bekannten Metallaustauschprodukte (μ3-RC)Co2MCp(CO)8 mit M = Mo, W (1a-c, 2a-c) neue Cluster der Typen (μ3-RC)RuCoMCp(CO)8H (3a-c, 4a-c) und (μ3-RC)OsCoMCp-(CO)8H (5a, 6a) gewonnen. Hierzu wurde neben Na2Ru(CO)4 erstmals das Metallaustausch-Reagens Na2Os(CO)4 eingesetzt. Als Nebenprodukt der Metallaustauschreaktionen wurden die Cluster (μ4-η2-MeC≡CMe)Co2M2Cp2(CO)8 mit M = Mo, W (7, 8) isoliert und für M = Mo (7) kristallstrukturanalytisch abgesichert. Phosphansubstitutionen an den Clustern (μ3-MeC)-M1CoM2Cp(CO)8H (M1 = Fe, Ru, Os; M2 = Mo, W) ergaben wider Erwarten eine völlige Substitutionsinertheit am Cobalt, und thermische CO-Substitution war nur für M1 = Ru zu erzielen (→ 9a-d, 10a-d).
