    Notizen: [17-2H2]GA20-13-O-[6′-2H2]glucoside was synthesized and applied to seedlings of Phaseolus coccineus L. After incubation for 72 h the conjugate metabolites were purified and shown by LC-ESI-tandem-MS and GC-MS to be [17-2H2]GA1-13-O-[6′-2H2]glucoside and [17-2H2]GA29-13-O-[6′-2H2]glucoside. This is the first evidence for the conversion of intact GA-O-glucosides, and represents an additional metabolic pathway of the gibberellin metabolism in P. coccineus L. The results indicate that intact GA-O-glucosides are accepted by 2- and 3-oxidases in the plant.

    Notizen: Abstract Azospirillum lipoferum strain USA 5b, a gibberellin producing bacterium, was cultured in a nitrogen-free biotin-based chemically-defined medium in the presence of the glucosyl ester or the 13-O-glucoside of [17,17-2H2]-gibberellin A20. The [17,17-2H2]-gibberellin A20 conjugates were added at both the stationary phase of the cultures and at the beginning of the growth curve. Metabolism of the conjugates was examined after 72 h of incubation using capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, with identification by full scan mass spectra. Metabolites identified were [17,17-2H2]-gibberellin A20, [17,17-2H2]-gibberellin A1 and [17,17-2H2]-gibberellin A3. Also, in the Azospirillum cultures fed at the beginning of the growth curve, gibberellin A5 and gibberellin A20 were characterized as endogenous by mass spectrometry/full spectrum. These results support the concept that the growth promotion in plants that is induced by Azospirillum infection may occur by a combination of both gibberellin production and gibberellin-glucoside/glucosyl ester deconjugation by the bacterium.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Summary A tabulated compilation has been given for the 9 till yet known natural gibberellins, their derivatives as well as the compounds with gibbane, isogibbane and fluorene skeleton obtained by degradation or synthesis. The tables contain in addition to the systematic designation of the compounds the molecular and structural formulae, the melting points, optical rotation values and the spectroscopic data (IR, UV, ORD, NMR), given in the literature. In a further table the mentioned substances are listed according to their melting points.
    Kurzfassung: Крамкое со¶rt;ержанuе В форме таблиц приводятся о 9 (в настоящее время иввестных) гибберелинах, их производных, а также соединений гиббана, изогиббана, и флуорена, поученных путем разложения или синтеза. В основу порядка перечисления вещецтв в таблице положены особенности их структуры. Кроме химически-системати ческого обозначения веществ в таблице даны: их суммарные формулы, литературные сведения о точэе плавления, величине оптического вращения, спектроскопические даииые (инфракрасный и ультрафиолетовый спектры, дисперсия оптического вращеиня, ядерно-магнетический резонанс), а также указания отом, каким путем вещества были получены. В особоЙ таблиде эти соединения приводятся в порядке величин их точек плавления.
    Notizen: Zusammenfassung Die 9 bisher bekannten natürlichen Gibberelline, ihre Derivate sowie die durch Abbau oder Synthese gewonnenen Gibban-, Isogibban- und Fluorenverbindungen wurden nach strukturellen Gesichtspunkten geordnet tabellarisch zusammengestellt. Die Tabellen enthalten neben der chemisch-systematischen Bezeichnung der Verbindungen deren Summen- und Strukturformeln, die in der Literatur angeführten Schmelzpunkte, optischen Drehwerte, spektroskopischen Angaben (IR, UV, ORD, NMR) sowie Hinweise, auf welchem Wege die Substanzen gewonnen wurden. In einer weiteren Tabelle sind alle genannten Verbindungen nach ihren Schmelzpunkten geordnet.

    Notizen: Abstract In exudates from developing apple fruits GA1, GA3, GA4, GA7, GA20 and GA34 could be identified and subsequently quantified by LC-ESI-MS selected-ion-monitoring analyses on the basis of internal standards. This is the first evidence obtained by mass spectrometrical analysis which demonstrates export of endogenous GAs from the fruits during the period when flower induction occurs. The observed differences in GA4 export are discussed in connection with biennial bearing.

    Notizen: Some partial synthetic amino acid ((S)-alanine, (S)-leucine, (S)-isoleucine, (S)-aspartic acid, (S)-glutamic acid, (S)-phenylalanine, (S)- and (R)-valine) conjugates of the plant growth regulator (-)-jasmonic acid (JA) were investigated as methyl esters by capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. By gas chromatographic data (retention indices) as well as by mass spectral behaviour all these substances can be differentiated unequivocally. In addition, the distinction between the leucine and isoleucine JA conjugates was carried out by mass-analysed ion kinetic energy spectroscopy (tandem mass spectrometry). Based on this some naturally occurring (S)-isoleucine conjugates of (-)-JA, (+)-7-iso-JA and related compounds as well as the (S)-leucine and (S)-phenylalanine conjugates of (-)-JA could be identified from extracts of the broad bean Vicia faba L.
