    Description / Table of Contents: Oxidative Addition Reactions of Nitroalkanes to Tetrakis(triphenylphoshine)platinum(0)The oxidative addition of nitromethane to Pt(PPh3)4 in polar protic solution provides a convenient and safe method for the preparation of trans-(Ph3P) 2Pt(CNO)2 Pt(CNO2)(3). From Pt(PPh3)4 and nitromethane or 2-nitropropane cis-(Ph3P) 2Pt(NO2)2 (2) is obtained. The reactions of Pd(PPh3)4 or Rh(PPh3)2CO)Cl with CH3NO2 or some of its derivatives afford isocyanato compounds. Formaidoxime hydrochloride reacts with Pt(PPh3)4 to give trans-(Ph3P)2Pt-(CN)Cl (4).
    Notes: Die oxidative Addition von Nitromethan an Pt(PPH3)4 in polarem, protischem Medium liefert gefahrlos und in guter Ausbeute trans-(Ph 3P)2Pt(CNO)2 (3). Aus Pt(PPh3)4 und Nitromethan bzw. 2-Nitropropan wird cis-(Ph3P)2Pt(NO2)2 (2) erhalten. Die Umsetzungen von Pd(PPh 3)4 oder Rh(PPh3)2(CO)Cl mit Nitromethan oder Methylnitrolsäure führen zu Isocyanatoverbindungen. Formaldoxim-hydrochlorid reagiert mit Pt(PPh 3)4 zu trans-(Ph3P)2Pt(CN)Cl (4).

    Description / Table of Contents: Reactions of trans-Difulminatobis(triphenylphosphine)platinum(II)The thermally very stable fulminato complex (Ph3P)2Pt(CNO)2 (1) rearranges under mild conditions to the isomeric isocyanato complex (Ph3P)2Pt(NCO)2 in the presence of organic carbonyl compounds which act as catalysts. (Ph3P)2Pt(NCS)2 is obtained from 1 and organic thiocarbonyl compounds. 1 is reduced by phosphines to the corresponding cyanide trans-(Ph3P)2Pt(CN)2. The safe preparation of a number of fulminato complexes (R3E)2M(CNO)2 (M=Pd, Pt; E=P, As, sb), (Ph3P)2Pt(X)CNO (X + H, Me, CN, NCO), and (Ph3P)2Rh(CO)CNO by use of [AsPh4]CNO is reported.
    Notes: Das thermisch sehr stabile (PhP)2Pt(CNO)2 (1) läßt sich katalytisch in Gegenwart von organischen Carbonylverbindungen unter milden Bedingungen zur Isocyanatoverbindungen (Ph3P)2Pt(NCO) 2 isomerisieren. 1 liefert mit organischen Thiocarbonylverbindungen (Ph3P)2Pt(NCS)2. Mit Phosphinen wird 1 zur entsprechenden Cyanoverbindung trans-(Ph3P)2Pt(CN)2 reduziert. Über die gefahrlose Darstellung verschiedener gemischter Fulminatokomplexe (R3E)2M(CNO)2 (M=Pd, Pt; E=P, As, Sb), (Ph3P)2Pt(X)CNO (X=H, Me, CN, NCO) und (Ph3P)2Rh(CO)CNO unter Verwendung von [AsPh 4]CNO wird berichtet.

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and Reactivity of trans-Cyano(pseudo)halogenobis(triphenylphosphine)platin(II). ComplexesThe oxidative addition of cyanogen halides to Pt(PPh3)4 affords the mixed trans-cyanohalogeno complexes (Ph3P)2Pt(X)CN 1a-c. In these complexes the halide ligands can be easily exchanged ↔other anions due to the trans effect of the cyanide group. The azide and fulminate ligand of 1d and g can be converted under mild conditions into iso(thio)cyanato groups. The cycloadduct 4b of 1d and acetonitrile contains N1- and N2-bonded 5-methyltetrazolate ligands. Above 190°C fluxional exchange N1 ↔ N2 ↔ N 3 ↔ N4 of the coordinated tetrazolate is observed.
    Notes: Die oxidative Addition von Halogencyan an Pt(PPh3)4 liefert die gemischten trans-Cyanohalogeno-Komplexe (Ph3P)2Pt(X)CN 1a-c. In diesen kann Halogenid aufgrund des trans-Effekts der Cyanogruppe leicht durch andere anionische Liganden ausgetauscht werden. Die Azid- und Fulminatliganden in 1d und g sind besonders reaktiv und lassen sich unter milden Bedingungen in die Iso(thio)cyanato-Gruppe umwandeln. Der durch Cycloaddition von Acetonitril an die Azid-gruppe von 1 d gebildete Komplex 4 b enthält N1- und N2-gebundene 5-Methyltetrazolat-Liganden. Oberhalb 190°C wird eine N1 ↔ N2 ↔ N3 ↔ N4-Fluktuation des koordinierten Tetrazolats festgestellt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Complexes of the d8-Noble Metals and of Manganese and Rhenium with Tricyano- and Tris(ethoxycarbonyl)methanid Ligandstrans-(Ph3P)2PtH[C(CN)3] (2) and trans-(Ph3P)2Pt(CN)[C(CN)3] (1) are obtained by oxidative addition of dicyanoketene imine or tetracyanomethanc to Pt(PPh3)4. The compounds L2MX[C(CN)3] (3-6) (L = PR3, AsPh3; M = Pd, Pt; X = Cl, Br, C(CN)3) and trans-(Ph3P)2M(CO)[C(CN)3] (8a, b) (M = Rh, Ir) have been prepared from the corresponding halo complexes and K[C(CN)3]. Mn(CO)5Br and Re(CO)5Cl react with K[CX3] (X = CN, CO2Et) to give tricarbonyl complexes [M(CO)3XCX2]n (9a-d), which afford with triphenylphosphine the compounds M(CO)3(PPh3)2XCX2 (10a-c). The coordination of the methanide ligands to the metal is discussed on the basis of i.r., Raman and 14N-n.m.r. spectra.
    Notes: Die Komplexe trans-(Ph3P)2PtH[C(CN)3] (2) und trans-(Ph3P)2Pt(CN)[C(CN)3] (1) entstehen durch oxidative Addition von Dicyanketenimin bzw. Tetracyanmethan an Pt(PPh3)4. Die Verbindungen L2MX[C(CN)3] (3-6) (L = PR3; AsPh3: M = Pd, Pt; X = Cl, Br, C(CN)3) und trans-(Ph3P)2M(CO)[C(CN)3] (8a, b) (M = Rh, Ir) werden aus den entsprechenden Halogeno-Komplexen und K[C(CN)3] erhalten. Mn(CO)5Br und Re(CO)5Cl liefern mit K[CX3] (X = CN, CO2Ät) die Tricarbonylverbindungen [M(CO)3XCX2]n (9a-d), die mit Triphenylphosphin die Komplexe M(CO)3(PPh3)2XCX2 (10a-c) bilden. D ie Koordination der Methanid-Liganden an das Metall wird an Hand von IR-, Ra- und 14N-NMR-Spektren diskutiert.
