Conclusions 1. The possibility of using polymers of ethyl vinyl ether as viscosity additives, which permits increasing the viscosity index of the thickened oils by 1.5–2 times and improving the viscosity-temperature properties of lubricating oils, has been demonstrated. 2. Additives based on polymers of ethyl vinyl ether, with an identical thickening capacity to that of the additive Vinypol, are superior to the latter in resistance to depolymerization. 3. In their capacity to increase the viscosity index, the additives obtained are on the same level as the best additives of this type.
