Notes:
An experimental technique to measure the spatial surface B field distribution in a high Tc superconductor in the temperature range 15–90 K and low applied magnetic fields (less than 300 Oe) is described. A model of magnetic dipoles has been used to describe the magnetic properties of these superconductors. The surface B field is calculated and compared with the experimental data. The experimental surface B field data are used to calculate the spatial current distribution in the superconductor by a two-dimensional Fourier transform.
