Conclusions 1. Spectral investigations using a closed method showed the existence of a strong adsorption of cyclohexane (CH) on NaY zeolite in the precatalytic temperature region. 2. In the case of passage of a mixture of C6H12+O2, NaY zeolite is characterized by the appearance of the absorption bands 1720, 1780, and 1820 cm−1, corresponding to carbonyl-containing and peroxide compounds, at 60–80°. In the case of partial replacement of the Na+ ion by Cu2+, the formation of these compounds is not recorded up to 180°. 3. The process of oxidation of CH on zeolites is of a heterogeneous — homogeneous character. The transition of the reaction into the volume occurs in the case of sodium zeolite at∼120°, and in the case of copper — sodium zeolite at 220°. 4. A fluctuating system of the reaction of oxidation of CH on NaY zeolite is of an autocatalytic character and is associated with the periodic accumulation of peroxide-type compounds on the surface of the zeolites.
