Conclusions 1. To strengthen compressor disks of alloy VT9 we recommend pneumoshotpeening followed by vibropolishing and microshotpeening, ensuring the formation of the highest compressive stresses at the surface (40–60 kgf/mm2) and extending to a depth exceeding the depth of the damaged layer after turning. Line broadening amounted to 300±20% and the surface roughness Ra=1.25-0.63. 2. The best method of strengthening compressor disks of alloy ÉI698VD is microshotpeening, ensuring formation of compressive stresses with a maximum value of 120 kgf/mm2 at the surface and extending to a depth equal to the depth of the damaged layer after turning.
