Notes: Scattering connected with the symmetry of a system is treated. Symmetries related to Riemannian symmetric spaces of the noncompact type are studied. Several examples are discussed.

Notes: In supersymmetric quantum mechanics, the differential equations corresponding to exactly solvable potentials may be treated by algebraic methods. By use of a system of geodesic polar coordinates on a Riemannian manifold, and subsequent transformation to a Schrödinger equation with a potential in two ways, it is demonstrated that the local behavior of the exactly solvable potentials considered in supersymmetric quantum mechanics corresponds to isotropic harmonic oscillator and Pöschl–Teller potential problems.

Notes: The symmetry scattering theory based on the Harish-Chandra–Helgason theory of spherical functions on noncompact Riemannian symmetric spaces is extended to treat all spherical harmonics on the hyperboloid SO(2,1)/SO(2). The required conditions for an extension of the symmetry scattering theory to treat all spherical harmonics on arbitrary noncompact Riemannian symmetric spaces are elaborated.

Notes: In the framework of symmetry scattering, SU(2,2)-invariant differential equations on the homogeneous space X=SU(2,2)/S(U(2)⊗U(2)) are studied. The radial Schrödinger equation for a family of one or two dimensional potentials or for two particles arise. From the asymptotic behavior of the solutions exact partial wave scattering amplitudes are derived.

Notes: Symmetry scattering is related to the scattering by an effective local potential in the Schrödinger frame using the quantum mechanics inversion techniques of Marchenko, Gel'fand, and Levitan. Exact solutions or exponentially convergent approximations are found.
