Silica nanoparticles and silica/titania hybrid nanocomposites were synthesized by sol-gelprocesses, and padded on cotton fabric. The sizes of these particles ranged from tens to hundreds ofnanometers. The morphologies of nanoparticles and hybrid nanocomposites were characterized byhigh magnification field-emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM).
