    Notes: Abstract  Objects: Sinus pericranii is only a symptom complex, and it can have a variety of etiologies. Therefore, it is important to differentiate these etiologies preoperatively by means of radiological examinations. A 5-year-old boy was admitted with a soft and fluctuant tumor in the right parietal region near the midline. The tumor appeared when the child was in a recumbent position, distending noticeably with the Valsalva maneuver and disappearing completely when the patient was in the sitting position. Methods: Magnetic resonance imaging showed the lesion with honeycomb-like heterogeneous iso- and low-intensity signals on the T1-weighted image and with heterogeneous high- and iso- intensity signal on the T2-weighted image. Dynamic study with an injection of gadolinium diethylene-triaminopentaacetic acid demonstrated and nodular peripheral enhancement at early phase and subsequent progressive enhancement towards the center of tumor. The internal carotid angiogram was normal. The external carotid angiogram, however, showed a tumor stain fed by the superficial temporal arteries. The stain was retained until the late phase and drained into the scalp veins and into the superior sagittal sinus. Following direct injection of contrast medium into the tumor there was prolonged retention of the medium in the tumor and leakage into scalp veins and the superior sagittal sinus. The mass under the periosteum was totally removed and proved to be a cavernous angioma. Conclusions: Scalp cavernous angioma is one of the etiologies of sinus pericranii and may be diagnosed preoperatively by cerebral angiography or magnetic resonance imaging. Serial dynamic magnetic resonance imaging will be particularly helpful for this diagnosis.

Les résultats expérimentaux peuvent être décrits avec un bon ajustement dans tout l'intervalle de décomposition, par l'équation (I) -ln (1−α)=kt;α=degré de décomposition,t=temps (min) etk=constante de vitesse (min−1). L'énergie d'activation et le facteur préexponentiel sont pour 0〈α〈0.8, respectivement égaux à 74.3 et 7.8 · 109 kJ/mole, et pour la période d'amortissement (0.8 〈α〈1.0) à 77.3 et 1.38 · 1010 kJ/mole.
    Abstract: Zusammenfassung Die Kinetik der thermischen Zersetzung der Additionsverbindung von Kaliumcarbonat mit Wasserstoffperoxid wurde unter Anwendung eines Fixbett-Durchfluß-reaktors durch Gaschromatographie untersucht. Die Versuchsergebnisse können im ganzen Bereich der Zersetzung am besten durch die Gleichung (I) -ln (1−α)=kt beschrieben werden;α=Zersetzungsgrad,t=Zeit (min) undk=Geschwindigkeitskonstante (min−1). Die Aktivierungsenergie und der präexponentielle Faktor betragen, für 0〈α〈0.8, 74.3 kJ/Mol, bzw. 7.8 · 109 und für die Periode des Abklingens (0.8〈α〈1.0) 77.3 kJ/Mol, bzw. 1.38 · 1010.
    Notes: Abstract The kinetics of the thermal decomposition of the addition compound of potassium carbonate with hydrogen peroxide was carried out using a fixed bed flow reactor with gas-chromatography. The experimental results can be best represented over the whole range of the decomposition, by the equation-In (1−α)=kt, whereα=degree of decomposition,t=time (min.), andk=rate constant (min.−1). The activation energy and the pre-exponential factor for 0〈α〈0.8, are 74.3 kJ/mol and 7.8 · 109, and for the decay period (0.8〈α〈1.0), 77.3 kJ/mol and 1.38 · 1010, respectively.

Durch Röntgendiffraktion und chemische Analyse wurde bestätigt, daß drei Zwischenprodukte (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 und Al2(SO4)3 gebildet werden. Die thermische Zersetzung der drei Verbindungen wurde durchgeführt. Es wurde gezeigt, daß für alle drei dasselbe Geschwindigkeitsgesetz Gültigkeit hat. Die Aktivierungsenergien für (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 und Al2(SO4)3 sind 95.9, 177.9 und 291.0 kJ/Mol.
    Abstract: Резюме Изучена реакция межд у сульфатом аммония и окисью алюминия. С пом ощью рентгено-диффракцио нного анализа и химич еского анализа подтвержден о образование трех промежуточных п родуктов реакции: (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 и Al2(SO4)3. Проведено термическое разложе ние этих трех соедине ний, и установлено, что для с облюдается один и тот же закон ско рости. Значения энерг ии активации соединени й (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 и Al2(SO4)3, соответстве нно, равны 95.9; 177.9 и 291.0 кдж. моль−1.
    Notes: Abstract The reaction between ammonium sulphate with aluminium oxide was studied. It was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and chemical analysis that three intermediate reaction products, (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 and Al2(SO4)3, are formed. The thermal decompositions of these three compounds were carried out. It has been shown that the same rate law is valid for them. The activation energies for (NH4)3Al(SO4)3, NH4Al(SO4)2 and Al2(SO4)3 are 95.9, 177.9 and 291.0 kj/mol, respectively.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die thermische Zersetzung von Magnesiumperoxoborat wurde mittels eines Derivatographen untersucht. Es wurde festgestellt, daß an der Zersetzung zwei Reaktionen beteiligt sind: Dehydratisierung und Sauerstoffentwicklung. Die kinetischen Parameter beider Schritte wurden bestimmt. Die thermische Stabilität von drei Arten von Metallperoxoboraten wird erörtert.
    Abstract: Резюме Посредством дерива рафа изучено термическое разложе ние перекиси бората магния. Установлено, ч то разложение протек ает в две последовательные ст адии дегидратации и выделении кислорода. Для каждой стадии реа кции вычислены кинетичес кие параметры. Обсуждена термоусто йчивость трех типов п ерекиси боратов металлов.
    Notes: Abstract The thermal decomposition of magnesium peroxoborate was studied by means of a derivatograph. It was found that the decomposition involves a sequence of reactions: dehydration and O2 evolution. The kinetic parameters were obtained in each step of the reaction. The thermal stabilities of three kinds of metal peroxoborates are discussed.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wurden die Reaktionen zwischen Ammoniumsulfat und drei Metalloxiden (Cr2O3, MnO2 und Fe2O3) untersucht. Durch Röntgendiffraktion und chemische Analyse wurde bestätigt, dass im Verlaufe der Reaktion stabile Zwischenprodukte gebildet werden. Es handelt sich dabei um (NH4)3M(SO4)3 und NH4M(SO4)2 im Falle von Cr2O3 und Fe2O3 und um (NH4)2Mn2(SO4)3 im Falle von MnO2. Diese Zwischenprodukte und die Metallsulfate wurden thermisch zersetzt. Die Volumenkontraktionsgleichung war für die Zersetzung all dieser Zwischenprodukte gültig. Die Arrheniusparameter wurden bestimmt.
    Abstract: Резюме зучены реакции между сульфатом аммония и тремя окислани метал лов Cr2O3, MnO2 и Fe2O3. Химическим ан ализом и диффракцией рентгеновских лучей подтверждено, что в ходе реакций пос ледовательно образуются устойчив ые промежуточные продукты. В случае оки слов трехвалентных х рома и железа, такими продук тами были (NH4)3M(SO4)3 и NH4M(SO4)2, а в случае дв уокиси марганца (NH4)2Mn2(SO4)3. Проведено термическое разложе ние этих промежуточн ых продуктов и сульфато в этих металлов. Для реакций разложен ия всех промежуточны х продуктов справедливым было ур авнения объемного сжатия. Опр еделены аррениусовс кие параметры.
    Notes: Abstract The reactions between ammonium sulphate and three metal oxides (Cr2O3, MnO2 and Fe2O3) were studied. It was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and chemical analysis that stable reaction intermediates were formed consecutively in the course of the reactions. These were (NH4)3M(SO4)3 and NH4M(SO4)2 for Cr2O3 and Fe2O3 and (NH4)2Mn2(SO4)3 for MnO2. The thermal decompositions of these intermediates and of the metal sulphates were carried out. The contracting-volume equation was valid for the decomposition of all the intermediates. The Arrhenius parameters were determined.
