Usability of 5-Imino-Δ1-1,2,4-triazoline-3-ones and 3,5-Bisimino-Δ1-,2,4-triazolines as DienophilesWhereas the triazoline 1 reacts spontaneously with 1,3-dienes to form 1,4-adducts, the reaction with the triazolines 5 and 8 and the triazole 14 requires the presence of two mole equivalents of boron trifluoride etherate. The triazolines 8 undergo no reaction with cyclopentadiene.
Notes:
Die Triazoline 5 und 8 sowie das Triazol 14 reagieren im Gegensatz zu 1 mit 1,3-Dienen nicht spontan zu 1,4-Addukten, sondern erst in Gegenwart von 2 Moläquivv. Bortrifluorid ätherat. Die Triazoline 8 geben mit Cyclopentadien keine 1,4-Addukte.
