    Notes: Isopren, 2.3-Dimethyl-butadien und Pentadien-(1.3) reagieren in Äther bereits unterhalb von 20 ° mit dem System Natriumhydrazid/Hydrazin unter starker Ammoniak-Entwicklung; bei der entsprechenden Reaktion mit Hexadien-(2.4) muß auf 50-60° erwärmt werden. Dei Umsetzung der beiden ersten Diene führt hauptsächlich zu β.β′-Dimethyl-crotonaldazin bzw. α.β-α′.β′-Tetramethylcrotonaldazin, die beiden anderen gehen in 3.5-Dimethyl-pyrazol bzw. 3(5)-Methyl-5(3)-äthyl-pyrazol über. Aus Isopren entsteht als Nebenprodukt 5.5-Dimethyl-Δ2-pyrazolin. Die Konstitution der Pyrazole ist durch Synthese bewiesen, die der übrigen Produkte ergibt sich aus Abbaureaktionen und den Spektren.

    Description / Table of Contents: Neighbouring Group Participation and Ring Expansion in the Heterolyses of Tricarbonylcyclopentadieneiron DerivativesHeterolysis of tricarbonyl[5-endo-methyl-5-exo-(tosyloxymethyl)cyclopentadiene]iron (3a) in (CH3CO)2O/aqueous HBF4 at 30° leads to the tricarbonyl(1-methylcyclohexadienyl)iron cation resulting from neighbouring group participation of the cyclopentadiene iron moiety and ring expansion. The cation is isolated as hexafluorophosphate 4 in 80% yield. In contrast, the geometrical isomer tricarbonyl[5-exo-methyl-5-endo-(tosyloxymethyl)cyclopentadiene]iron (3b) is slowly decomposed under the same conditions producing CO and Fe2+ salt; no complex product could be detected.
    Notes: Tricarbonyl-[5-endo-methyl-5-exo-tosyloxymethyl-cyclopentadien]-eisen (3a) heterolysiert in (CH3CO)2O/wäßr. HBF4 bei 30° unter Nachbargruppen-Beteiligung der Cyclopentadien-eisen-Gruppierung und Ringerweiterung. Das gebildete Tricarbonyl-[1-methyl-cyclohexadienyl]-eisen-Kation wird als Hexafluorophosphat 4 mit 80% Ausb. isoliert. Im Gegensatz dazu wird das zu 3a geometrisch isomere Tricarbonyl-[5-exo-methyl-5-endo-tosyloxymethyl-cyclopentadien]-eisen (3b) im gleichen Medium langsam zersetzt unter Bildung von CO und Fe2+-Salz; komplexe Produkte konnten nicht gefunden werden.

    Description / Table of Contents: Geometrical Isomerism of Tricarbonylcyclopentadieneiron Derivatives5-(Hydroxymethyl)-5-methylcyclopentadiene (6) reacts with Fe2(CO)9 to form tricarbonyl-[5-endo-(hydroxymethyl)-5-exo-methylcyclopentadiene]iron (2b) and tricarbonyl[5-exo-(hydroxymethyl)-5-endo-methylcyclopentadiene]iron (2c) in a 4 : 1 ratio. The isomers can be separated by chromatography. They represent the first example of geometrical isomerism in the tricarbonylcyclopentadieneiron series. Treatment of 5-(ethoxycarbonyl)-5-methyl-cyclopentadiene (5) with Fe2(CO)9 affords tricarbonyl[5-endo-(ethoxycarbonyl)-5-exo-methyl-cyclopentadiene]iron (2a) as the sole isomer. 1H n.m.r. data are used to establish the stereo-chemistry of these and related complexes.
    Notes: 5-Methyl-5-hydroxymethyl-cyclopentadien (6) liefert mit Fe2(CO)9 Tricarbonyl-[5-exo-methyl-5-endo-hydroxymethyl-cyclopentadien-]-eisen (2b) und Tricarbonyl-[5-endo-methyl-5-exo-hydroxymethyl-cyclopentadien] eisen (2c) im Verhältnis 4 : 1. Die beiden Isomeren können chromatographisch getrennt werden. Sie sind das erste Beispiel geometrischer Isomerie in der Tricarbonyl-cyclopentadien-eisen-Reihe. 5-Methyl-5-äthoxycarbonyl-cyclopentadien (5) ergibt mit Fe2(CO)9 Tricarbonyl-[5-exo-methyl-5-endo-äthoxycarbonyl-cyclopentadien]-eisen (2a) als einziges Isomeres. 1H-NMR-Daten legen die Stereochemie der Komplexe und ihrer Derivate fest.

    Description / Table of Contents: Hydrolysis Products of Hexabromoosmate (IV), OsBr62-As a result of the acidic hydrolysis of hexabromoosmate(IV), OsBr62-, products were obtained which were separated by ion column chromatography using diethylaminoethylcellulose. On the basis of the analytically determined Os: Br ratios, the ionic charges that could be deduced from the elution behaviour, and the absorption spectra the products have been characterized as OsBr5(H2O)-, Br4(H2O)Os—;OH—;Os(H2O)Br4-, Br3(H2O)2Os—;OH—;Os(OH)(H2O)Br3, Br2(H2O)2(OH)Os—;OH—;Os(OH)(H2O)2Br2+ and OsBr(OH)m(H2O)5-m3-m (0 ≤ m ≤ 2). In the dimers intramolecular formation of hydrogen bonds is assumed.
    Notes: Die bei der sauren Hydrolyse von Hexabromoosmat(IV), OsBr62-, entstehenden Reaktionsprodukte wurden säulenchromatographisch an Diethylaminoethylcellulose getrennt. Auf Grund der analytisch bestimmten Os: Br-Verhältnisse, der aus dem Elutionsverhalten erhältlichen Ionenladungen und der Absorptionsspektren handelt es sich um OsBr5(H2O)-, Br4(H2O)Os—;OH—;Os(H2O)Br4-, Br3(H2O)2Os—;OH—;Os(OH)(H2O)Br3, Br2(H2O)2(OH)Os—;OH—;Os(OH)(H2O)2Br2+ sowie OsBr(OH)m(H2O)5-m3-m(O≤m≤2). In den Dimeren wird eine intramolekulare Verbrückung unter Ausbildung von Wasserstoffbrücken angenommen.

Die Mischkristalle sind frei von gemischten Hexa(chlorobromo)-osmaten und -stannaten. Die Gitterkonstanten liegen über den nach der VEGARDschen Regel zu erwartenden Werten.

Die Zusammensetzung der Fällungen wurde spektralphotometrisch bestimmt. Die Mischkristalle sind frei von gemischten Hexa(chlorobromo)-rhenaten. Der Gang der Gitterkonstanten folgt dem Vegardschen Gesetz.

The lattice constants show a positive deviation from Vegard′s rule.
    Notes: Durch langsames Eintropfen einer konzentrierten Lösung von K2ReCl6 und K2ReBr6 in Äthanol werden weitgehend homogene Mischkristalle in allen beliebigen Mischungsverhältnissen erhalten. Die Gitterkonstanten zeigen eine positive Abweichung von der Vegardschen Regel.
