Description / Table of Contents: Summary Due to legal regulations, external quality assurance is mandatory in Germany. Supported by the German Health Ministry (BMG),we present the results of a multicenter study in four hospitals with different structures on 1042 inpatients with the trace diagnosis of schizophrenia (ICD 10). We defined disease-specific indicators of structure, process, and outcome quality, developed an assessment instrument, and implemented a feedback system for quality comparison. The resulting quality profiles are useful as a starting point for internal quality management.

Notes: Abstract The β+/EC decay of the neutron deficient nuclei76,78Sr and79Y was studied employing mass separated molecular beams of SrF+ and YF2 + from the ISOLDE mass separator. The halflives of76,78Sr and79Y were measured as t1/2=8.9(3)s, 159(8)s and 14.4(15)s, respectively, and decay schemes were established for76Sr and79Y. In the78Sr decay 10 new γ-ray transitions were identified.

Notes: Abstract The decay properties of84As have been investigated with mass separated sources. Only one β-decaying state is seen, contradictory to previous observations. The halflife is found to be 4.5±0.2 s. A detailed decay scheme has been constructed, and 33 excited states in84Se have been determined.

Notes: Abstract The decay of isotope-separated85As has been studied for the first time by means ofγ-ray spectroscopy. A level scheme for85Se has been constructed on the basis ofγγ-coincidence measurements. Spin and parity were then assigned to the lowest excited levels. Two levels, weakly populated in84Se after emission of delayed neutrons, were also identified. The results obtained here differ considerably from previously reported experiments with chemically separated sources.

Notes: Abstract The branchings (absolute intensities) of γ-rays following the decay of84,85Ge and84,85As have been determined using mass-separated samples. Our results include the first identification of85Ge and the first γ-ray data for84Ge. Values of the delayed neutron emission probabilities, Pn, of84Ge and85As were also deduced from the data, together with a lower limit of this quantity for85Ge. The deduced Pn of about 39 % for the important neutron emitter85As is substantially larger than the values of about 22–23 % obtained in previous indirect determinations.

Notes: Abstract It is described how the measurement of nγ-coincidences can be used to identify single-particle states in 133Sn. This method, in combination with the improved yields at ISOLDE, has facilitated firm determination of three excited single-particle states in 133Sn: p3/2, h9/2 and f5/2. The i13/2 state is not observed in this experiment and probably unbound, and the data did not allow a firm identification of the p1/2 state. The results are well reproduced in a Woods–Saxon calculation based on the data from the 208Pb region and taking into account the distance from β-stability of the 132Sn region.
