    Notes: Die Absorptionsmaxima der Lösungsspektren von 4.5-Dibromhexen-(2)-säure-(1), von Crotonsäure und von den Tetrabromiden der Octatrien-(2.4.6)-säure-(1) oder ihrem Methylester liegen in Hexan oder Alkohol bei 204 bis 208 mμ. Die Absorptionsmaxima von Octadien-(2.4)-säure-(1), von Sorbinsäure und vom Dibromid des Octatriensäure-methylesters liegen in Hexanlösung alle bei 261 mμ. Durch Messung der UV-Lichtabsorption konnten als Ergebnis der 1.2-Addition von Brom an die 3 konjugierten Doppelbindungen der Octatriensäure bzw. ihres Methylesters folgende Bromide festgestellt werden: 6.7 - Dibrom - octadien - (2.4) -säure-(1)-methylester (Schmp. 72-74°), 4.5.6.7-Tetrabrom-octen-(2)-säure-(1) (Schmp. 220 bis 221°), ihr Methylester (Schmp. 151-151.5°) und ein stereoisomerer Methylester (Schmp. 111-112°), ferner 2.3.4.5.6.7-Hexabrom-octansäure-(1)-methylester (Schmp. 180-181°).

    Notes: Das Dibromid des β-[Furyl-(2)]-acrylsäure-äthylesters von H. Gilman u. G. F. Wright wird auf Grund seines lichtelektrisch gemessenen, langwelligen Absorptionsmaximums (λ = 254 mμ, χ = 13 × 103 in Hexanlösung) als β-[4.5-Dibrom-4.5-dihydro-furyl-(2)]-acrylsäure-äthylester erkannt.Aus 1 Mol. β-[Furyl-(2)]-acrylsäure-äthylester und 2 Mol. Brom wird in Schwefelkohlenstofflösung bei -30° mit einer Ausbeute von 40% d. Th. ein krystallisiertes Tetrabromid vom Schmp. 50-51° dargestellt. Dieser instabile α.β-Dibrom-β-[4.5-dibrom-4.5-dihydro-furyl-(2)]-propionsäure-äthylester spaltet bei Zimmertemperatur spontan Bromwasserstoff ab. Dadurch verwandelt er sich vollständig in den äthylester der α.β-Dibrom-β-[5-brom-furyl-(2)]-propionsäure, welche ehedem von H. B. Gibson u. C. F. Kahnweiler als erstes Bromierungsprodukt der Furylacrylsäure erhalten worden war.

    Description / Table of Contents: Syntheses of Antileukemic (Indolylvinyl)indolesThe dinitrile 8a with the skeleton of 2-[(E)-2-(2-indolyl)vinyl]indole is synthesized by various routes; by a simple procedure [(6-cyano-2-indolyl)methyl]- and [(5-cyano-2-indolyl)methyl]triphenylphosphonium bromide (4d and 5c) are prepared and with them the dinitriles 8a, 9a, and 10a and further the derived antileukemic imidazolinyl compounds 8b, 9b, and 10b. With the isomeric skeletons of 6-[(E)-2-(2-indolyl)vinyl]indole and of 6-[(E)-2-(6-indolyl)vinyl]indole the imidazolinyl compounds 18b and 19b are synthesized.
    Notes: Das Dinitril 8a mit dem Gerüst des 2-[(E)-2-(2-Indolyl)vinyl]indols wird auf verschiedenen Wegen synthetisiert; in einfacher Verfahrensweise werden [(6-Cyan-2-indolyl)methyl]- und [(5-Cyan-2-indolyl)methyl]triphenylphosphoniumbromid (4d und 5c) dargestellt und mit ihnen die Dinitrile 8a 9a und 10a sowie ferner die zugehörigen, antileukämischen Imidazolinyl-Verbindungen 8b, 9b und 10b. Mit den isomeren Gerüsten des 6-[(E)-2-(2-Indolyl)-vinyl]indols und des 6-[(E)-2-(6-Indolyl)vinyl]indols werden die Imidazolinyl-Verbindungen 18b und 19b synthetisiert.

    Notes: 2-[2-(Indol-2-yl)vinyl]-1-benzofuran- und -benzo[b]thiophen-Verbindungen 6-13 und 18-22 mit endständigen Amidinium- oder Imidazolinium-Gruppen wurden synthetisiert; in ihrer antileukämischen Wirksamkeit übertreffen sie bei der Maus die isosteren 2,2′-Vinylenbis(1-benzofuran)- und -(benzo[b]thiophen)-Verbindungen.
