    Description / Table of Contents: Mass Spectrometric Investigations of the Oxidehalides of Divalent GermaniumMass spectrometric investigations have shown the existence of gaseous oxidehalides of divalent germanium Ge2OX2 (X = F, Cl, Br) in the vapor phase above a solid Ges/GeO2,s (1:1 Moles) + NaXs (excess). The heats of formation of these compounds have been determined.
    Notes: Massenspektrometrische Untersuchungen zeigen die Existenz von gasförmigen Oxidhalogeniden des zweiwertigen Germaniums Ge2OX2 (X = F, Cl, Br) im Dampf über einem Bodenkörper Gef/GeO2,f (1:1 Mole) + NaXf (Überschuß). Es wurden die Bildungswärmen dieser Verbindungen bestimmt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Mass Spectrometric Investigations of the Systems FeCl2/AlCl3 and FeCl2/FeCl3Mass spectrometric investigations with double oven evaporation cells have shown the existence of the molecules FeAlCl5, FeAl2Cl8 and Fe3Cl8. The stability of the two first mentioned molecules has been determined.

    Description / Table of Contents: Gas Complexes MAlCl5 and MAl2Cl8 (M = Cr, Mn, Co, Ni, Mg, Ca, Sr)Mass spectrometric investigations of systems MCl2/AlCl3 with double oven evaporation cells have shown, that in these systems MAl2Cl8,g as well as MAlCl5,g can be observed. MAlCl5,g is favoured by low Aliminium chloride pressure and high temperatures. For the reaction 1/2 M2Cl4,g + 1/2 Al2Cl6,g = MAlCl5,g the enthalpie of reaction is aproximately 0 kcal/Mol. Only the formation of CrAlCl5,g is significant endotherm (+7 kcal/Mol), which may be caused by Cr—Cr- interactions in Cr2Cl4,g.
    Notes: Massenspektrometrische Untersuchungen der Systeme MCl2/AlCl3 mit Doppelzellen haben gezeigt, daß in diesen Systemen sowohl MAl2Cl8,g wie auch MAlCl5,g auftritt. MAlCl5,g wird begünstigt durch niedrigen Aluminiumchloriddruck und hohe Temperaturen. Für die Reaktion 1/2 M2Cl4,g + 1/2 Al2Cl6,g = MAlCl5,g liegen die Reaktionsenthalpien nahe bei Null. Nur die Bildung von CrAlCl5,g ist deutlich endotherm (+7 kcal/Mol), was auf eine Cr—Cr-Bindung in Cr2Cl4,g hindeutet.

    Description / Table of Contents: Mass Spectrum of the System Te/S and the Chemical Transport of Tellurium with SulphurThe mixed molecules TeSx (x = 1 … 7) and Te2Sy (y = 1 … 6) have been observed by mass spectrometry. These molecules are responsible for the fact, that Tellurium can be chemically transported by means of sulphur in a temperature gradient (375 → 325°C).
    Notes: Gasförmige Molekeln TeSx (x = 1 … 7) und Te2Sy (y = 1 … 6) wurden massenspektrometrisch nachgewiesen. Solche Molekeln sind dafür maßgebend, daß Tellur mit Schwefel im Temperaturgefälle 375 → 325°C chemisch transportierbar ist.

    Description / Table of Contents: Mass Spectrometric Investigations on the Systems MCl2/AlCl3 (M = Cr, Co, Pd)The reactions MCl2,s + Al2Cl6,g = MAl2Cl8,g (M = Cr, Co, Pd) have been investigated by a double-oven evaporation cell in connection with mass spectrometric analysis. All Ions, containing both, M and Al, have under our conditions one neutral percusor, the molecule MAl2Cl8,g. The evaluated equilibrium constants agree with literature data.
    Notes: Mit Hilfe einer Doppelzellenanordnung in Verbindung mit einem Massenspektrometer wurden die Reaktionen MCl2,f + Al2Cl6,g = MAl2Cl8,g (M = Cr, Co, Pd) untersucht. Die Analyse der Massenspektren ergab, daß bei unseren Versuchsbedingungen praktisch alle gleichzeitig M- und Al-haltigen Ionen auf die neutralen Gasmolekeln MAl2Cl8,g zurückzuführen sind. Die ermittelten Gleichgewichtskonstanten stimmen befriedigend mit Literaturangaben überein.
