Notes:
Summary Between 1965 and 1977, 665 reconstructions of supraaortic branches were performed. Overall mortality was 2.8%. Depending on the neurologic status, we lost no patient in stage I; mortality in stage II was 2.3%, in stage III, 23.8%, and in stage IV, 3.5%. For subclavian lesions we prefer the transcervical approach, with a lethality of 0%.
