    Notizen: Supersymmetric quantum mechanics cannot be deformed when the superposition of only a pair of usual bosons and fermions is considered, but it can if nontrivial parabosons and parafermions of the same order p of paraquantization are superposed. We take the simplest case p=2 and exhibit reducibility problems in that context by using Green–Cusson Ansätze following Macfarlane methods. Specific representations of the Lie superalgebra osp (2|2, R) play an interesting role in connection with possible deformations. © 1996 American Institute of Physics.

    Notizen: Abstract Phase and amplitude gratings in the visible and near-infrared spectral range can be written in SodiumNitro-Prusside (SNP), Na2[Fe(CN)5NO] · 2H2O, single crystals by optical excitation of infinitely long-living metastable electronic states, localized in the [Fe(CN)5NO]2− anions. Hence, its photorefractive effect does not depend on dopants or defects. The refractive index is modulated by more thanΔn = 1 × 10−3 in the red (632.8 nm) andΔn = 5 × 10−4 in the near-infrared region (1047 nm). The absorption coefficient is modulated by aboutΔα = 100 m−1 at 632.8 nm and 40 m−1 at 1047 nm. The wavelength dependence ofΔn can be explained by strong absorption bands in the ultraviolet considering Kramers-Kronig dispersive analysis. The time constant of the write-read-erase processes and the diffraction efficiencyη depend on light intensity, wavelength and polarization of the light with respect to the crystallographic axes. After excitation of the metastable states the indicatrix is modulated only along thea- andb-axis of the orthorhombic system.

    Notizen: Abstract We report an unsuccessful search for the He+ λ 4686 line in the low chromosphere. However, at the location of this line we detect a number of other chromospheric emission lines. This leads us to the conclusion that the He+ λ 4686 identification made in the past, as well as other identifications, are probably in error. Additionally the region of the neutral helium λ4713 line is also studied.

    Notizen: Abstract By means of a photographic polarimeter, we attempted to measure both the amount and direction of linear polarization of all emission lines between 3400 and 9000 Å in the inner corona (1.034 ≤ r/r 0 ≤ 1.085). Only the green and red coronal lines have been analyzed in detail. Neither of these lines shows polarization exceeding the probable error of 1.0% for λ 5303 and 1.8% for λ 6374. None of the other 17 coronal lines observed during the 7 March, 1970 solar eclipse show any obvious (〉5%) polarization.

    Notizen: Abstract Two independent sets of high resolution time series spectra of the CaII H and K emission obtained at the Solar Tower and at the Big Dome of the Sacramento Peak Observatory on September 11th, 1971 are reported. The evolutionary behaviour of the emission first reported by Wilson and Evans is confirmed but the detail of the evolution is found to be more complex. In one case, a doubly peaked feature showing some K3 emission evolves into a single K2 (red) peak with no K3 emission. Coincidentally, a neighbouring doubly peaked feature evolves to a very strong blue peak. In an entirely independent sequence a doubly peaked feature evolves into a single red peak. The K2 emission then fades completely although the continuum threads are still strong. Finally a strong K2 blue peak appears. These developments are confirmed by intensity profiles obtained from the spectra. Image motion during the sequences is measured using slit-jaw photographs and changes in the overall pattern of the spectra. It is found to be less than the size of the individual features, i.e. 1–2″. While considering that the evolution can be explained by the relative motion of one feature with respect to another during the sequence, it is shown that it is possible to account for all these examples in this way only by invoking coincidence of a very high order. It is concluded that in these cases the observed evolution of the K2 emission is due to temporal variations in the physical conditions which give rise to them.
