Notizen:
Summary During cardiac surgery with ECC on 34 patients the plasma and various tissue concentrations were measured after application of Cephradin 1 g or Cephamandol 2 g at the beginning of the operation and at various intervals thereafter. Tissue levels were set in relation to the minimal inhibitory concentration against Staph. aur. and Staph. epid.: The concentrations were higher in the bradytrophic cardiac valve tissue than in muscle or subcutaneous tissue. Therapeutic antibiotic levels were noted for at least 90 min. Antibiotic protection should only be continued for 24–48 h.
