Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung 1.
Notes: Abstract 1. A report is given of investigations on the physical performance capacity (W170) which was determined in the way proposed by Mocellin and Rutenfranz. 2. The results were classified according to age, height and body weight. Except for the relation between W170 and body weight in boys, no other linear relationship was recorded in boys and girls between W170 and physical parameters for a wider range. 3. The recorded mean values and the standard deviations of W170 at various developmental stages in boys as well as in girls tended to be proportionally related. Therefore the coefficient of variation was selected as standard for deviations of regressions. 4. The development of W170 in relation to sex and age was assessed according to relationships between W170 and physical parameters by means of normal values given by Meredith. The estimated values of W170 are compared with the empirical values of the investigated population. 5. Taking into account a systematic difference of 90 mkp min−1 between values of W170 obtained at continuous or at stepwise increase of load, our values have been transformed to conditions of a stepwise increase of load so that a comparison with values of other investigations is possible.

Notes: Abstract On the basis of studies of about 100 collections of the groupConocybe mesospora and after comparison of extra-European material we conclude that, within the European representatives of this complex, it is necessary to distinguish nine species and two varieties. Three new species are described:Conocybe subxerophytica Sing. & Hauskn.,C. minima Sing. & Hauskn. andC. roberti Sing. & Hauskn. C. mesospora var.subalpina Sing. is now recognized as an autonomous species, butC. brunneola (Kühn. ex)Kühn. & Watling is understood as variety ofC. microspora (Velen.)Dennis. C. excedens var.pseudomesospora Sing. & Hauskn. is described as a new variety.C. affinis Sing. is indicated for Europe.C. microsperma Sing. is the new name ofC. microspora (Vel.)Dennis ss.Dennis. A full description of nine taxa of this group is given and a key to 11 taxa occurring in Europe added. Seven taxa are illustrated for the first time with colored photographs. All taxa known to us from other continents and belonging to theC. mesospora group have been compared with the most similar European species or varieties.
