    Notes: The crystals of bis-dimethyl glyoximino-diammine cobalt(III) nitrate are Monoclinic with Space-group P21/c and the cell-dimensions are a = 9.80 ± 0.03 Å, b = 6.32 ±. 02 Å, c = 12.47 ±. 04 Å, β = 97°. The crystal data indicates either a free rotation or a statistical distribution in two different orientations of the oxygen atoms round nitrogen of the nitrate ion.The crystals of the chloride complex are Tetragonal with Space-group P42 and the cell dimensions are a = 6.50 +. 02 Å, c = 25.2 ± 0.1 Å.

    Description / Table of Contents: Synthesis, Structure, and Properties of Cupric CarbonateCuCO3 can be prepared from azurite, malachite or CuO by reaction with CO2 using a pressure of 20 kb at a temperature of 500°C. The compound is monoclinic, its spacegroup is Pa—Cs2 (Nr. 7); the lattice constants are: a = 6.092, b = 4.493, c = 7.030 Å, β = 101.34°. From the structure determination follows the coordination number 5 with a distorted square pyramid of oxygen around the metal. The IR sepctrum ist explained on the basis of site-symmetry considerations.
    Notes: CuCO3 entsteht aus Azurit, Malachit oder CuO durch Reaktion mit CO2 bei einem Druck von 20 kb und einer Temperatur von 500°C. Die Verbindung kristallisiert monoklin in der Raumgruppe Pa—Cs2 (Nr. 7); Gitterkonstanten: a = 6,092, b = 4,493, c = 7,030 Å, β = 101,34°. Aus der Strukturbestimmung ergibt sich für das Kupfer eine verzerrte quadratisch-pyramidale Sauerstoff-Umgebung mit der Koordinationszahl 5. Das IR-Spektrum wird unter Berücksichtigung der Lagesymmetrie des Carbonations zugeordnet.
