Zwei grundverschiedene Verfahren stehen in Entwicklung.
Notizen:
Summary Pancreatic transplantation is indicated only in juvenile diabetes with terminal renal failure needing renal grafting. Two procedures are evaluated, organ transplantation and islet transplantation. In organ transplantation, complications caused by the exocrine function are avoided by intraductal injection of a solidifying substance or by intraperitoneal drainage of the juice. Islet transplantation is technically standardized and free of complications, but mostly it is unsuccessful because of early, up-to-now poorly understood rejection. In only one case has long-term function of human pancreatic islets been achieved.
