Abstract One of the most exciting recent developments in cancer-related research has been the discovery and understanding of colony-stimulating factors. There is now a general optimism that these factors will be used in the treatment of a variety of solid tumors, lymphomas, and leukemias, as well as in the treatment of patients who are immunocompromised or undergoing bone marrow transplantation. We have gathered a distinguished panel of experts to discuss the current status of this rapidly moving field.
