Abstract Pulse-chase experiments show that, in addition to the secreted molecular forms of ceruloplasmin, an intracellular ceruloplasmin-like protein is synthesized in rat hepatocytes. Radioimmunochemical assay demonstrates that a nonserum isoform of ceruloplasmin is bound to the Golgi membranes.
