Summary We study excitons in double quantum wells (DQWs) embedded in a semiconductor microcavity (MC) by means of semi-classical theory, which yields analytic results in weak- and strong-coupling regimes. We show how to obtain subpicosecond radiative lifetime for the excitons. A model for disorder is investigated.
