    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: The RAMAN and IR spectra of R3SnXSnR3 (R = CH3, C2H5, n-C4H9, C6H5; X = O, S) and (CH3)3SnSeSn(CH3)3 are reported, and the frequencies are assigned. The alkyl and phenyl vibrations of all compounds have the same position. For the Sn-X-Sn groups exist characteristic vibrations. The spectra are theoretically discussed in view of chemical bond. Approximative force constants are reported for Sn-X-Sn linkages. We did not find any double bond character for these linkages.
    Notizen: Für die Verbindungen R3SnXSnR3 (R = CH3, C2H5, n-C4H9, C6H5; X = O, S) und (CH3)3SnSeSn(CH3)3 werden die Infrarot- und RAMAN-Spektren angegeben und die Frequenzen zugeordnet.Die inneren Schwingungen der Alkyl- bzw. Phenylgruppen sind weitgehend lagekonstant. Die Sn-X-Sn-Gruppierung besitzt charakteristische Schwingungen. Die Spektren werden bindungstheoretisch diskutiert, und für die Sn-X-Sn-Bindung Kraftkonstanten abgeschätzt. pπ-dπ-Doppelbindungsanteile sind nicht nachzuweisen.

    Notizen: Bei der Reaktion ovn P4S3 mit primären (Cyclohexylamin, n-Butylamin) und sekundären (Piperidin, Di-n-butylamun) Aminen in Benzol entstehen jeweils zwei Reaktionsprodukte. Die erste Gruppe der isolierten Substanzen wird durch die entsprechenden Ammoniumsalze der dithiophosphorsäure-diamide gebildet. Als zweite Gruppe werden gelbe, amorphe Salze erhalten, denen entweder das Anion [P6S2H]- oder [P12S4H3]- zukommt. Das Kation dazu liefert das eingesetzte Amin. Ein Reaktionsmechanismus wird vorgeschlagen.

Zwischen der Wannenform (Cs) und der Sesselform (C3v) kann nicht exakt unterschieden werden.

In dependence on the phosphane coligands nickel(0) complexes with η1-planar, η1-pyramidal and η2-S.O. (side on) coordinated SO2 are formed. In the case of the palladium(0)-SO2 complexes hithero prepared the dominating coordination mode is the η1-pyramidal one.
    Notizen: Synthese und Eigenschaften von Phosphan-Schwefeldioxid-d10-Metallkomplexen der Typen ML2(SO2)2, ML2(SO2) und ML3(SO2) (M = Ni(0), Pd(0); L = t-Phosphan) werden beschrieben. In Abhängigkeit der Phosphan-Coliganden entstehen Nickel(0)-SO2-Komplexe mit η1-planar, η1-pyramidal und η2-S.O (side on) koordiniertem SO2. Dagegen dominiert im Falle der bislang dargestellten Palladium(0)-SO2-Komplexe die η1-pyramidale Koordinationsgeometrie.

    Notizen: Sodium iodide/copper mediated intermolecular cyclodehalo-genation of 2,6-dibromocyclohexanones in the presence of furan and cyclopentadiene afforded a variety of alkylated tricyclo[4.3.1.12,5]undec-3-en-10-ones. An alkyl group (methyl or isopropyl) adjacent to the carbonyl carbon atom in the starting 2,6-dibromocyclohexanone derivative was important for the success of the cycloaddition procedure. Even tricylic ketone 11, containing two quaternary carbon atoms adjacent to the carbonyl carbon atom, was prepared. The α,α'-dibromoketones derived from either enantiomer of menthone and cyclopentadiene reacted enantioselectively, yielding tricycles (7R)-7 and (7S)-7. Since a number of tricyclic ketones 3-11 were sensitive, they were reduced to secondary alcohols 19-25, having an axial, α-configurated OH group and were also converted into tertiary methylcarbinols 26 and 27 using methyllithium activated with tBuOK. Secondary α-configurated alcohols 19-25 had an earthy-mouldy odour, and tertiary carbinols 26 and 27 even more so. Unsaturated alcohols 26 and 27 showed a 4 J coupling of 2 Hz between the rigidly held OH proton and the nearest methyl protons. On hydrogenation of the olefinic double bond (4 → 33, → 34) this long-range coupling disappeared.

Bildung von sieben- und fünfgliedrigen Ringen2,3-Dimethyl-3-penten-2-ol (3) und Cyclopentadien wurden in verdünnter wäßriger Sulfonsäure/Pentan Gerührt. Es bildeten sich 2,3,4,4-Tetramethylbicyclo[3.2.1]octa-2,6-dien (4), die epimeren 3-Methylen-Isomeren 5a, b und zum ersten Mal auch ein fünfgliedriger Ring, nämlich 2,3,4,4-Tetramethylbicyclo[3.3.0]octa-2,6-dien (6) mit 69 - 73% Gesamtausbeute. Das bicyclische Dien 4 war Hauptprodukt und wurde leicht als kristallisierter Silbernitratkomplex (C12H18)2·AgNO3 isoliert (41-44%). In einem modifizierten Verfahren wurde die Zweiphasenreaktion bei 0°C ausgeführt. Anschließend wurden die resultierenden Alkohole chromatographisch abgetrennt und bei 50°C cyclisiert. Diese Variante ergab einen höheren Anteil des thermodynamisch stabileren, neuartigen [3.3.0]-Bicyclus 6 (4:6 = 2.6:1).
    Notizen: 2,3-Dimethyl-3-penten-2-ol (3) and cyclopentadiene were stirred in dilute aqueous sulfonic acid/pentane, giving 2,3,4,4-tetramethylbicyclo[3.2.1]octa-2,6-diene (4), the epimeric 3-methyl-ene isomers 5a, b and, for the first time, also a five-membered ring, namely 2,3,4,4-tetramethylbicyclo[3.3.0]octa-2,6-diene (6) in 69 - 73% overall yield. The major bicyclic diene 4 was conveniently isolated as crystalline silver nitrate complex (C12H18)2·AgNO3 (41 - 44%). In a modified approach the two phase reaction was carried out at 0°C, the resulting alcohols were separated by chromatography and cyclized at 50°C, giving an increased proportion of the thermodynamically more stable, novel [3.3.0] bicyclic isomer 6 (4:6 = 2.6:1)

Allylalkohole als Vorläufer für Allyl-KationenAllylalkohole wie 3-Ethoxy-2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol (4), der silylierte Alkohol 8 sowie 2-Methyl-3-pentin-2-ol (12) werden in die entsprechenden Trifluoressigsäureester (5, 9, 13) übergeführt und in Gegenwart von Zinkhalogenid/Ethyldiisopropylamin und eines konjugierten Diens in guten bis sehr guten Ausbeuten in verbrückte Siebenringe (14, 16, 18, 20-24) umgewandelt. Demnach reagiert 5, anders als alle bisher untersuchten Oxyallyl-Vorläufer, unter den beschriebenen Bedingungen zum verbrückten 1-Ethoxy-1,4-cycloheptadien (14, 16, 18, 20) statt zum thermodynamisch stabileren 4-Cyclohepten-1-on (15, 17, 19, 21), welches aus dem anfänglich gebildeten cyclischen Enolether durch Hydrolyse entsteht. Es wird geschlossen, daß jetzt strukturell komplexe Allyl-Kationen unter schonenden Bedingungen erzeugt werden können, dank der Gegenwart von Ethyldiisopropylamin sogar in schwach alkalischem Medium.
    Notizen: Allyl alcohols such as 3-ethoxy-2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol (4), the silylated alcohol 8 and also 2-methyl-3-pentyn-2-ol (12) have been converted into the corresponding trifluoroacetates (5, 9, 13), which in the presence of zinc halide/ethyldiisopropylamine react with conjugated dienes to form bridged seven-membered rings (14, 16, 18, 20-24) in good to excellent yields. Thus, unlike all other oxyallyl precursors studied so far, 5 gives the bridged 1-ethoxy-1,4-cycloheptadiene (14, 16, 18, 20) under the present conditions rather than the thermodynamically more stable 4-cyclohepten-1-one (15, 17, 19, 21) which is formed from the initial enol ether by hydrolysis. It is concluded that structurally complex allyl cations can now be generated in very mild conditions, and owing to the presence of ethyldiisopropylamine, even in weakly alkaline solutions.
