    Notes: Synthesis and Polymerization of Unsaturated BenzaldazinesThe preparation of methacrylic and acrylic acid derivatives of isomeric hydroxybenzaldazines and their characterization by u.v.-, i.r.-, 1H and 13C n.m.r. spectroscopy are described. By radical polymerization and copolymerisation with styrene and methyl methacrylate, respectively, crosslinked polymers showing ultraviolet-absorbing properties are obtained.

    Description / Table of Contents: N-hydroxymethyl-chloroacetamide, which is biocide effective, was converted to N-(acyloxymethyl)-chloroacetamides by esterification. Copolymers containing the biocide moiety as a pendant group can be obtained by radical copolymerization of methyl N-(chloroacetamido-methyl)fumarate with vinyl acetate as well as of N-(chloroacetamidomethyl)-acrylamide and the corresponding methacrylamide with styrene, methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid. The copolymerization parameters were determined.
    Notes: Das biozid wirksame N-Hydroxymethyl-chloracetamid wurde durch Veresterung in N-(Acyloxymethyl)-chloracetamid überführt. Durch radikalische Copolymerisation von Fumarsäure-methylester-chloracetamidomethyl-ester mit Vinylacetat sowie von N-(Chloracetamidomethyl)-acryl- und methacrylamid mit Styren, Acrylsäuremethylester, Methacrylsäuremethylester und Acrylsäure lassen sich Copolymere mit bioziden Wirkstoffseitengruppen erhalten. Die Copolymerisationsparameter wurden ermittelt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Potentially biocidal polymers were prepared by radical polymerization and copolymerization of the isomeric 4-vinylbenzoyl and 2-carbomethoxyacrylic derivatives of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (Amitrol). The release of the pendantly bound herbicide by hydrolysis may be modified by changing the nature of the herbicide-to-polymeramide linkages.
    Notes: Durch radikalische Homo- und Copolymerisation der stellungsisomeren 4-Vinylbenzoyl- und 2-Carbomethoxyacryloylderivate des 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazols (Amitrol) werden potentiell biocide Polymere dargestellt. Der an die Polymerketten seitenständig fixierte biocide Wirkstoff läßt sich in Abhängigkeit von der Natur der Amidbindung abgestuft hydrolytisch freisetzen.
