Notes: Durch Kondensation des Hydrazin-N,N-bis-thiocarbonsäureamids mit α-halogenierten Aldehyden, Ketonen, Ketosäureestern usw. wurden „Hydrazothiazole“ dargestellt. Mit 2 Mol. Monochloracetaldehyd enstand die. Stammverbindung, -das Hydrazothiazol-(2.2′) selbst, mit Monochloraceton analog das 4.4′-Dimethyl-hydrazothiazol (2.2′) and mit ω-Chlor-acetophenon das 4.4′-Diphenyl-hydrazothiazol-(2.2′). Durch Oxydation mit Salpetriger Säure in wäßriger Lösung ließen sich aus den Hydrazothiazol-AbKömmligen die „Azothiazole“ gewinnen.Zu einem anderen Typus der Hydrazothiazole führte die Kondensation des Hydrazin-N.N′-bis-thiocarbonsäuremid-S-monomethyl-äthers mit α-halogenierten Aldehyden, Ketonen, ketosäureestern usw. Mit 1 Mol. Monochloraceton bildete sich so z.B. das Dihydrochlorid des S-Methyl-β-N-[4-methyl-thiazoly-(2)]-isothiosemicarbazids. Dieses färbt bei Injektion ins Gewebe der Maus Organe, Skleren, Blut und Harn blau.

Notes: Es werden die Raman-Spektren der beim Debromieren von Tetrasbrompentaerythrit entstehenden Kohlenwasserstoffe nach der fraktionierten Destillation aufgenommen. Die Untersuchung der einzelnen Fraktionen liefert den Nachweis für die Gegenwart von 2-Methyl-buten-(1), Spriropentan und Methylencyclobutan. Methylcyclobuten konnte nicht festgestellt werden. Die Spektren der einzelnen Kohlenwasserstoffe werden diskutiert.

Notes: Es wurden vom N-Propyliden und von N-Isopropyliden-N′-phenylhydrazin N′-Benzoyl- und N′-Benzoyl- und N′-Nitrobenzoyl-Derivate nach dem „Pyridinverfahren“ und nach dem „Kondensationsverfahren“ (aus N′-Benzoyl-und N′-Nitrobenzoyl-N′-phenyl-hydrazin und Propylaldehyd oder Aceton) hergestellt. Während die Nitrogruppe in 0-Stellung die Kondensation des Benzoyls mit dem am Benzolring haftenden Stick-stoff-Atom der Hydrazonmolekel hindert, wirkt sie in m- oder p-Stellung darauf fördernd. Obwohl das Isopropyliden-phenylhydrazin gegen Säure beständiger ist als das Prpyliden-phenylhydrazin, wird die Isopropylidengruppe unter der Einwirkung von Benzoyl- oder Nitrobenzoylchlorid leichter hydrolytisch abgespalten, was stereochemisch zu erklären ist. Durch Reduktion wird aus dem N-Propyliden-N-[4-nitro-benzoyl]-N′-phenyl-hydrazin daszuerwartende 4-Propylpylamino-benzanilid gewonnen, aus der entsprechenden Isopropylidenverbindung jedoch nur 4-Amino-benzanilid.Vom Äthyliden-phenylhydrazin wurde das N′-2-Nitro-benzoyl-Derivat nach dem „Pyridin-“ und dem „Kondensationsverfahren“ dargestellt. Methylen-phenylhydrazin bildete mit Benzoyl- oder Nitrobenzoylchlorid nur amorphe Polymerisationsprodukte; nach dem Kondensationsverfahren konnten die normalen Verbindungen gewonnen werden.

Notes: Auf Grund bestimmter theoretischer Vorstellungen wurde geprüft, ob einerseits Phosphorpentachlorid, andererseits niedere Alkohole die Umsetzung von Brenzcatechin und Phosphortrichlorid zu Brenzcatechyl-phosphormonochlorid in ähnlicher Weise begünstigten wie kleine Mengen von Wasser. Phosphorpentachlorid erwies sich als unwriksam, während die Wirkung niederer Alkohole um etwa eine Größenordnung geringer ist als diejenige des Wassers.

Notes: Due Hydrolyse der Thiolsäureester erfolgt durch Spaltung zwischen Acylrest und Schwefelatom. Sie wird durch Säuren katalytisch beschleunigt, wobei aber keine lineare Beziehung zwischen Säurekonzentration und Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit besteht. Im Vergleich zu den analogen Carbonsäureestern werden die Thiolsäreester im sauren Medium wesentlich langsamer gespalten, während im alkalischen beide Reaktionen mit praktisch gleicher Geschwindigkeit ablaufen.

Notes: Die Absorptionsbanden der aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffe werden nach ihrem Verhalten klassifiziert und als para-, α- und β-Banden bezeichnet. Die Frequenz der beiden letztgenannten läßt sich in einfacher Weise berechnen, nur von Rydbergs Konstante und einer Ordnungszahl ausgehend, die eine einfache Funktion der Ringzahl ist. Die Differenzen der Resonanzenergien zwischen aufeinanderfolgenden Gliedern der Anellierungsreihen ergeben sich aus den Differenzen der Frequenzen der β- und α-Banden. Die so berechneten Resonanzenergien der Acene und Phene werden in guter Übereinstimmung mit dem Experiment gefunden, besonders bei der Anwendung auf die Isomerien der Dihydroacene und auf das Gleichgewicht Methyl-acen ⇌ Methylen-dihydroacen.

Notes: Die additive Berechnung der Verbrennungswärme organischer Verbindungen wurde weitgehend verbessert und erreicht nunmehr bei aliphatischen und einfachen alicyclischen Kohlenwasserstoffen eine Genauigkeit von ± 0.5 (z. Tl. sogar ± 0.2)/100 der Gesamtverbrennungswärme.Die neuen Verbrennungswerte der verschiedenen C-C-Bindungsarten gestatten erstmals auch die Berechnung der Verbrennungswärmen der hochmolekularen Kohlenstoffmodifikationen Graphit und Diamant mit einer ähnlichen Genauigkeit.Die Berechnung der Mesomerie-Energie aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoffe führt mit Ausnahme der der Polyalkylbenzole innerhalb einer Fehlergrenze con maximal ± 4.5 keal pro Sechsring (durchschnittlich 1.1 kcal) im wesentlichen zu den gleichen Werten, wie sie sich aus der Hydrierungswärme errechnen bzw. wie sie auf Grund der Hydrierungswärme ähnlich gebauter Stoffe erwartet werden können.Die Berechnung der Mesomerie-Energie von Systemen, an denen auch Heteroatome beteiligt sind, bietet gröβere und infolge der Möglichkeit der Überlagerung mehrerer Energieeffekte z. Tl. auch grundsätzliche Schwierigkeiten, die bisher weder mit Hilfe der Verbrennungswärme noch auf anderem Wege überwunden werden können. Doch scheinen die hierdurch bedingten Fehler den Betrag von 5 keal /Mol. nicht zu überschreiten.
