    Notes: Die im folgenden erörterten Fragen sind nicht nur deswegen Grenzprobleme, weil es sich bei ihnen um Transportvorgänge durch Phasengrenzen handelt. Vielmehr bildet dieses Gebiet auch eine Berührungsgrenze zwischen den Ingenieurwissenschaften und der physikalischen Chemie. Von erstgenannter Seite wurde der betreffende Fragenkreis in letzter Zeit mehrfach zusammenfassend dargestellt1. Hier möge er mehr vom Standpunkt der physikalischen Chemie aus und unter Bevorzugung der bisher noch nicht befriedigend gelösten Probleme behandelt werden. Gerade dieses Gebiet ist besonders geeignet, die Fruchtbarkeit einer Zusammenarbeit beider Wissenschaften im Rahmen der Verfahrenstechnik aufzuzeigen.

    Notes: Bei Wärmeaustauschern für korrodierende Medien mit relativ hohen Wärmeübergangswerten, wie diese bei der Verdampfung, Kondensation oder bei strömenden Flüssigkeiten auftreten, muß auch ein Werkstoff von hoher Wärmeleitzahl verwendet werden, damit wirtschaftlich vertretbare Einheiten gebaut werden können. Scheiden dafür aus korrosionstechnischen Gründen die üblichen Metalle und Legierungen aus, dann lassen sich innerhalb eines gewissen Druck- und Temperaturbereichs nun mit dem gas- und flüssigkeitsdicht imprägnierten Graphit Wärmeaustauscher hoher Flächenleistung bauen.

    Notes: Es wurden einige Apparaturen entwickelt, um im Laboratoriumsmaßstab binäre azeotrope Systeme kontinuierlich zu trennen. Sie dienten zur experimentellen Überprüfung von Trennmethoden bei möglichst geringem Aufwand an Geräten, Energie und Chemikalien. In jedem der besprochenen Systeme ist die Erzielung höherer Reinheitsgrade und größerer Durchsätze nur eine Frage der Vergrößerung der Apparatur, ohne daß sich am Trennungsprinzip etwas ändert. Zur Überschreitung der azeotropen Konzentration wurden Entmischung infolge partieller Löslichkeit, Extraktion und die Verwendung einer Zusatzkomponente herangezogen.

    Notes: Bei dem in der vorliegenden Arbeit erstmalig gelösten Festigkeitsproblem handelt es sich um Fragen, die bei der Berechnung solcher Hochdruckrohre von Bedeutung sind, die im Gegensatz zu den bisher verwendeten geschmiedeten Massivrohren aus einem dünnwandigen Kernrohr bestehen, auf das  -  je nach der Höhe des Innendrucks  -  eine mehr oder weniger große Zahl von Bändern aufgewickelt wird. Außerdem spielt das Problem auch bei anders gearteten Aufgaben eine Rolle, auf die kurz hingewiesen wird.

    Notes: Auf Grund der Margulesschen Interpolationsformeln zur Berechnung der Dampfdrucke von Zweistoffgemischen bei konstanter Temperatur wird gezeigt, daß sich ganz allgemein der Trennfaktor als eine Exponentialfunktion mathematisch darstellen läßt. Ihr Exponent ist eine Funktion von Koeffizienten, deren Größe wichtige Schlüsse auf das allgemeine physikalisch-chemische Verhalten von Zweistoffgemischen zu ziehen gestattet. Die mathematische Darstellung läßt sich auch auf die üblichen Gleichgewichtskurven bei konstantem Druck anwenden. Mehrere praktische Beispiele bekannter Kurven werden mathematisch dargestellt.

KießKalt in den Jahren 1935/38 unter Leitung des Verfassers durchgeführt. Die Messungen machten die herren Dipl.-Ing. D. Bachmann, O. Kramer und F. Bieger., werden hier erstmals veröffentlicht und dabei verglichen mit Messungen über den Wärmeübergang an Modellapparaten von Chilton, Drew und Jebens bei der E. J. Du Pont de Nemours u. Comp., Wilmington, Del., sowie von Cummings und West bei der Rohm & Haas Comp., Philadelphia. Das Problem des Wärmeaustausches bei verschiedener Rührerdrehzahl und Temperatur ist nunmehr mit praktisch genügender Genauigkeit gelöst.
