Notes:
Summary Intergeneric hybrids between Triticum crassum (2n=6x=42) and Hordeum vulgare cv. ‘Bomi’ were obtained at a frequency of 15% of pollinated florets. Meiotic chromosome pairing in the hybrids was not different from that observed in a polyhaploid of T. crassum indicating negligible pairing between chromosomes of the two species and secondly that the genome of H. vulgare had no effect on intergenomic pairing in T. crassum.
