Zusammenfassung Bei einer Irgapyrinvergiftung (14 Dragees Aminophenazon: Phenylbutazon 125 mg aa) eines 1/12 Jahre alten Kindes wurde eine Blutaustauschtransfusion von 4 Std Dauer mit 21 Frischblut durchgeführt. Während des Blutaustausches erfolgten sowohl im Serumwie in den Erythrocyten mehrfache quantitative Bestimmungen des im Irgapyrin enthaltenen Aminophenazon. Bereits nach Austausch von 100 ml Blut konnte der Aminophenazon-Serum/Erythrocytenspiegel von anfänglich ca. 160 μg/ml auf ca. 20 μg/ml gesenkt werden. Der zunächst lebensbedrohliche Zustand des Kindes konnte durch die Austauschtransfusion behoben werden.

Abstract An exchange transfusion was performed in an 18-month-old child intoxicated with Irgapyrin® (14 tablets aminophenazone: phenylbutazone; 125 mg aa). The plasma and erythrocyte concentrations of aminophenazone (i.e.: ingredient of Irgapyrin® was checked repeatedly during the exchange transfusion. Even after only about 1000 ml of blood had been exchanged the aminophenazone level in serum and erythrocytes was reduced from 160 μg/ml to 20 μg/ml. This fall in the serum and erythrocyte levels sufficed to save the child from the critical stage of the intoxication.
