Notes:
The electronic transition dipole moment of the B0+u→X0+g transition in molecular iodine has been determined in the range 2.633≤Rcentroid≤6.035 A(ring). We have measured a decrease of ||μ¯e||2 of about 4 orders of magnitude, perhaps the largest variation of ||μ¯e||2 yet observed in a molecule.
