Notes: Die bei pH 1-4 durchgeführten Kondensationen von 4.5-Diamino-1.3-dimethyl-uracil mit Dimethylalloxan führen zu dem einheitlichen 2.4.6.8.-Tetraoxo-1.3.7.9.-tetramethyl-dekahydro-[dipyrimidino-4.5;4'.5':2.3;5.6-pyrazin] (III). Der Konstitutionsbeweis wurde durch die zu der gleichen Verbindung führenden Synthese aus 5-Nitroso-4-amino-1.3-dimethyl-uracil und 1.3-Dimethyl-barbitursäure erbracht.Bei der Alkalibehandlung werden ein bzw. beide Pyrimidinringe aufgespalten.
