Partielle Acetylierung von 7.4′-Dibenzyl-quercetin-3-β-D-galaktosid-tetraacetat, Methylierung der freien C5-OH-Gruppe und Entfernung der Schutzgruppen ergab Azaleatin-3-β-D-galaktosid, einen Inhaltsstoff von Eucryphia glutinosa und Ceratostigina willmotianum. Das bisher noch nicht in der Natur aufgefundene Azaleatin-3-glucosid wurde analog dem Galaktosid synthetisiert. Kupplung von 4′-Benzyl-apigenin mit Acetobromgalaktose, Verseifung und Entbenzylierung führte zum Apigenin-7-β-D-galaktosid Thalictiin, das aus Thalictrum Thunbergii isoliert wurde.
