Crystal Structure Determination of 1,1,3,3-Tetrakis(dimethylamino)allyl Perchlorate by X-ray TechniquesThe structure of the tetrakis(dimethylamino)allyl cation has been determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis of its ClO4-salt. Because of the steric and electronic interactions in the ion some bond angles show values up to 125° and all C-C- and C-N-bonds are twisted out of the plane by 30°. The ion shows C2 symmetry.

Die Struktur des Tetrakis(dimethylamino)allyl-Kations wurde mit Hilfe der Röntgenstrukturanalyse seines ClO4-Salzes bestimmt. Die sterischen und π- Elektronenwechselwirkungen innerhalb des Ions führen zu einer Aufweitung von Bindungswinkeln bis auf 125° und zu einer Verdrillung von 30° aus der ebenen anordnung um sämtliche C-C- und C-N-Bindungen. Das Ion besitzt die Symmetrie C2.
