Diyne Reaction, XXXIII. E.S.R. Examinations of 2H-Benzol[f]isoindole-4,9-quinones2H-Benzo[f]isoindole-4,9-quinones are reduced to semiquinone radical anions by electrolysis on a mercury electrode within the cavity of a resonator and the e.s.r. spectra are measured. The influence of the substituents on the hyperfine structure is discussed. The coupling constants of the methyl protons in 1,3-position and of the pyrrole nitrogen are with a great approximation proportional to the sum of Hammett's constants of the substituents.

2H-Benz[f]isoindol-4,9-chinone werden innerhalb des Hohlraumresonators durch Elektrolyse an einer Quecksilberelektrode zu Semichinon-Anionradikalen reduziert und ESR-Spektren aufgenommen. Der Einfluß der Substituenten auf die Hyperfeinstruktur wird diskutiert. Die Kopplungskonstanten der Methylprotonen in 1,3-Stellung und des Pyrrolstickstoffs sind mit großer Annäherung der Summe der Hammettschen Substituentenkonstanten proportional.
