New Rapid Method for the Halogen Determination in Organic SubstancesUsing the Voigt-Lamp as a model, a quartz glass apparatus was developed in which the gasified substance or its combustion products are passed through an illuminating gas flame, the reaction products being collected in a flask. Using this apparatus, the halogen content of organic substances containing a large proportion of halogens (e. g. CCl4) can be determined very accurately in a short time.

In Anlehnung an die Voigtsche Lampe wurde eine Quarzglasapparatur entwickelt, bei der die vergaste Substanz bzw. ihre Verbrennungsprodukte durch eine Leuchtgasflamme geleitet und die Reaktionsprodukte in einer Vorlage aufgefangen werden. Es gelingt mit ihrer Hilfe, den Halogengehalt halogenreicher organischer Substanzen (z. B. CCl4) in kurzer Zeit sehr genau zu bestimmen.
