Thiono and Dithio Esters, XXV. - (4 + 2) Cycloadditions with DithionooxalatesO,O-Dimethyl dithiooxalate (1a) reacts as a 2π-component with typical dienes (e.g. 2,3-dimethylbutadiene or cylopentadiene) as well as with the strained σ-bonds of quadricyclane to form cycloaddition products. With the energy-rich double bonds of norbornene derivatives, cyclopropenes, and benzovalene, 1a as a 4π-component furnishes cycloadducts. With cyclopentene an equilibrium of product and starting material was achieved after two weeks. 1a reacts also with substances containing activated triple bonds such as dehydrobenzene or acetylenedicarboxylic ester.

Als 2π-Komponente reagiert der Dithiooxalsäure-O,O-dimethylester (1a) sowohl mit typischen Dienen wie 2,3-Dimethylbutadien und Cyclopentadien als auch mit den spannungsreichen σ-Bindungen des Quadricyclans zu Cycloadditionsprodukten. Als 4π-Komponente bildet 1a Cycloaddukte mit energiereichen Doppelbindungen von Norbornen-Derivaten, Cyclopropenen und Benzvalen; mit Cyclopenten wurde nach zweiwöchiger Reaktionszeit ein Gleichgewicht von Produkt und Edukt erreicht. Auch Substanzen mit aktivierten Dreifachbindungen wie Dehydrobenzol oder Acetylendicarbonester reagieren mit 1a.
