Description / Table of Contents: The preparation of single crystals and the X-ray investigation of SrY2O4 are described. This compound is orthorhombic (a = 10.08, b = 11.91, c = 3.40 Å), isotypic with CaFe2O4 and crystallizes in the space group D2h16-Pnam. Parameter see Table 1.

Notes: Es wird über die Darstellung von SrY2O4-Einkristallen bei hohen Temperaturen und deren röntgenographische Untersuchung berichtet. SrY2O4 kristallisiert orthorhombisch (a = 10,08, b = 11,91, c = 3,40 Å), Raumgruppe D2h16-Pnam und ist mit CaFe2O4 isotyp. Parameter vgl. Tab. 1.
