Abstract A sulfated polysaccharide containing approximately twelve glucose residues was sulfated with radioactive sulfate and its distribution in rats and dogs was studied. This compound appeared to have a great affinity for tissue. The tissue of greatest retention was the liver which exhibited increasing concentration per gram of tissue while the blood level was falling. Attempts were made to prevent or remove the radioactivity from the liver by altering the reticulo-endothelial system, but were unsuccessful.
