    Notes: Summary This paper gives some circuits that may be used in computing instruments using only resistances and linear potentiometers. Part 1 is a summary of the well-known methods of representing the elementary operations. Part 2 is a discussion of curve fitting methods for functions of one variable. Part 3 deals with curve fitting for functions of two variables; special use is made of the concept of grid structure (Sechseckgewebe). Part 4 gives some general remarks regarding the computing instruments.
